J.K. Simmons Talks JUSTICE LEAGUE Reshoots And Exploring A Weathered Jim Gordon In THE BATMAN
Justice League star J.K. Simmons reveals whether or not he had any sort of involvement with Joss Whedon's recent reshoots and looks ahead to what we should expect from Matt Reeves' The Batman...
It's been a while since we've heard any positive or negative rumours about Matt Reeves' Batman movie but it's thought that the plan is still for J.K. Simmons to return as Commissioner Gordon after making his DC Films Universe debut in Justice League. In the video below, the actor reveals that his role in the superhero ensemble is essentially a "don’t blink and you’ll miss it," so that probably means we won't spend much time with him beyond whatever happens on that rooftop we've seen in the trailers.
Simmons also confirmed that he did ADR last week so Warner Bros. is clearly still putting the finishing touches on the movie despite the fact that we've heard it was recently screened to test audiences.
The actor has also confirmed that he wasn't involved with any of the reshoots helmed by Joss Whedon and while he didn't reveal a whole lot about what's happening with The Batman, Simmons sounds excited to work with Ben Affleck again. "He’s obviously a talented filmmaker in addition to being the movie star that he is and the good actor that he is, which I think will continue to develop as we see Batman and Commissioner Gordon not be spring chickens and we get into some interesting stories about these weathered kinds of guys." When exactly we're getting those stories is still unclear.
