JUSTICE LEAGUE: Zack Snyder Shares A Storyboard Featuring Superman's Return In The Recent Trailer

The final trailer for Justice League featured the return of Superman in a very unexpected manner and director Zack Snyder has now taken to social media to share his storyboards of that emotional sequence.

In the final, epic trailer for Justice League (which you can watch by clicking here), things kick off with Clark Kent returning to Lois Lane and acknowledging the fact she said yes to his planned marriage proposal. It's currently unclear whether or not that's a dream or a glimpse at what happens once Superman returns from the dead and visits Lois for the first time. We'll find out this November!

In the meantime, Zack Snyder has taken to Vero to share a storyboard of that scene. It doesn't answer the question of whether or not this is really happening but is a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes. It plays out pretty much identically aside from the fact that in the trailer, Clark says "I'll take that as a yes" as opposed to "That's a yes." This also confirms the scene was shot by Snyder, not Joss Whedon.

What do you guys think of this storyboard and the possibility of this being a resurrected Superman rather than just a dream? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

This is Whedon's scene, not Snyder's, a Marvel fanboy told me. >:(

I kinda figured that was a Snyder scene watching the trailer. It felt more like something he would do than something Whedon would do.

Lol that's so adorable! Look at the little faces.

Has Joss ever been sentimental and emotional? That's always been Zack's style.

It looks like a beautiful scene tbh.

I don't get why everyone cares who directed this scene, there's nothing special about it? Man of Steel and BvS were both filled with beautiful shots like this, but they never meant anything because there was an empty feel to them, because the characters and story populating them were average and the writing was god awful, and there was an air of faked prestige to them. Like a pretentious person with a beautiful, fancy house filled with cheap art. Doesn't matter how fancy the house is, the art shows that they're faking and don't know shit.

Lois and Clark's relationship had no chemistry or romance. Superman's death was forced, unearned and unemotional. And we all knew he was coming back the minute he died.

So how does Clark reuniting with her in a sunlit cornfield inspire any emotion or sense of beauty?

If you want a poignant, emotional, beautifully shot scene, look to the final scene between Ultron and Vision in AOU.

@connorblaze - True. Zack's scenes are usually like that. So this is basic confirmation that he shot it anyway.

I still like it though. It's nice
