Thomas Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, has established himself as one of the most sought-after composers in Hollywood, and with good reason. He has consistently blown us away with his work on the likes of Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Batman V Superman, Alita: Battle Angel, and more.
Fans have been anxiously waiting to hear what he has in store for us with his score for Zack Snyder's Justice League, and Holkenborg has now released a full track titled "The Crew at Warpower."
The rousing 6:48 piece is unmistakably Junkie XL, and calls to mind his stunning work on Mad Max: Fury Road.
Even when the movie itself isn't up to much, Holkenborg's music is always a highlight, so we can't wait to hear some more from his score for the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League.
In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne joins forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.
Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.
The Director's Cut of Justice League will release on HBO Max on March 18.
