JUSTICE LEAGUE Will Serve As A "Direct Sequel" To BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

We know that Justice League is going to touch on a number of plot threads introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but it now appears as if the movie will actually serve as a "direct sequel."

Superman's death in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is obviously going to play a major role in Justice League, as will a lot of what happened in that movie. However, a new report from Total Film points to the highly anticipated release being "a direct sequel" to the divisive 2016 release. Considering the fact it'll likely end the trilogy which began with Man of Steel, that does make sense.

In fact, it sounds like we could learn more about Clark Kent's resurrection sooner than we thought as the magazine goes on to claim that Justice League "begins with Henry Cavill’s Superman in the ground having sacrificed himself to Doomsday." That statement isn't the clearest but if the hero does return from the dead when we return to his grave, perhaps he'll be back in action with the team right away!
.
We'll just have to wait and see. This definitely leaves us with lots to think about, though, and it will be interesting to see how exactly Justice League starts. Come November 17th, all our questions will hopefully be answered! In the meantime, be sure to share your theories in the comments section.

MOS should not be considered part of a trilogy. It should be the first of its own stand alone trilogy!
