Zack Snyder Responds To THE BOYS' "Dawn Of The Seven" JUSTICE LEAGUE Parody

Yesterday, Prime Video shared a trailer for film-within-a-show Dawn of the Seven, and The Boys season 3 promo video was clearly meant as a parody of Justice League. Now, director Zack Snyder has responded.

In the world of Prime Video's The Boys, the members of The Seven star as themselves in a series of Vought International-produced superhero movies, and season 3 will feature the world premiere of "Dawn of The Seven: The Bourke Cut."

Clearly parodying the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, the fictional film's trailer spotlights a major scene that needed to be reshot when Stormfront's past was made public in the season 2 finale. The footage sees Homelander distance himself from his former lover ("guess this means we're breakin' up... Nazi bitch") as his teammates rally to take on the powerful supe.

The show has taken swipes at DC and Marvel movies in the past (that's kinda the whole point), but it's all in good fun, and Snyder is clearly taking this parody in his stride.

PJ Byrne, who plays Dawn of the Seven director Adam Bourke, responded in-character.

Season 2 of The Boys ended with the death of Butcher's wife and the apparent disbanding of the team. We know they will reunite, however, most likely in attempt to bring down the increasingly psychotic Homelander. Queen Maeve was able to blackmail her rage-fuelled leader into backing off in the finale, but actor Anthony Starr has already confirmed that he will really let loose in Season 3.

It's also been confirmed that the highly controversial Herogasm comic book arc will be adapted, and showrunner Eric Kripke has hinted that the episode will be every bit as depraved as the comic.

Season 3 of The Boys is set to premiere on June 3.
