KINGSMAN: THE GREAT GAME Reportedly Circling Brad Pitt And Rachel Weisz For Key Roles
In addition to a follow-up to The Golden Circle, Matthew Vaughan has plans for a Kingsman prequel known as The Great Game, and we're hearing that the studio is keen on getting two huge stars involved...
A while ago, word broke that director Matthew Vaughan was planning several new Kingsman spinoffs, one of which would be a World War I-set prequel titled The Great Game. Now, we might just have some intriguing details on what to expect from the project.
According to That Hashtag Show, the movie will focus on "some of the most important people and events of the early 20th century," including the likes of infamous Russian "mad monk," Grigori Rasputin. Though the site stresses that no negotiations have taken place, it's believed that 20th Century Fox wants Brad Pitt to play this role.
In addition, Academy Award-winning British actress Rachel Weisz is said to be circling the role of Polly, who is described as a "ruthless force of nature." Polly is the nanny of main protagonist Conrad, "a cocky young son of a British Duke determined to serve his country."
THS reckons 22-year old British actor Harris Dickinson has already signed on for this part, and none other than Ralph Fiennes is being lined up to play his father, The Duke of Oxford.
We'll have to take all of this as a rumor for the time being, but should everything pan out, The Great Game has (potentially) amassed a very impressive cast so far.
