KINGSMAN: THE GREAT GAME Reportedly Circling Brad Pitt And Rachel Weisz For Key Roles

A while ago, word broke that director Matthew Vaughan was planning several new Kingsman spinoffs, one of which would be a World War I-set prequel titled The Great Game. Now, we might just have some intriguing details on what to expect from the project.

According to That Hashtag Show, the movie will focus on "some of the most important people and events of the early 20th century," including the likes of infamous Russian "mad monk," Grigori Rasputin. Though the site stresses that no negotiations have taken place, it's believed that 20th Century Fox wants Brad Pitt to play this role.

In addition, Academy Award-winning British actress Rachel Weisz is said to be circling the role of Polly, who is described as a "ruthless force of nature." Polly is the nanny of main protagonist Conrad, "a cocky young son of a British Duke determined to serve his country."

THS reckons 22-year old British actor Harris Dickinson has already signed on for this part, and none other than Ralph Fiennes is being lined up to play his father, The Duke of Oxford.

We'll have to take all of this as a rumor for the time being, but should everything pan out, The Great Game has (potentially) amassed a very impressive cast so far.

@RorMachine - It's worth watching the end just for Merlin. Or you can just watch the clip I posted above.

I enjoyed the first and the second when I saw them. Although I don't think they have the rewatchable appeal for me that some other films have.

Loved Rachel in the last film I saw with her that was set in the early 20th Century............The Mummy and Mummy 2.

Man will always be one of Brendan Frasers best roles and glad to see him making a comeback on TV. Condor starts here on Monday and I'll be happy to see him on it.

Vanisher!

This franchise has potential. The second was bad, visuals were great. The comedy and the story just felt lazy.

I’ll be up for a third. Same with GOTG. Just need a little more effort 👍🏻

First one was great and the second one enjoyable. But moving away from the modern setting and characters is a pretty smart move in my opinion

The second one kinda sucked but that Merlin death scene was fantastic. Quality stuff.

I still don't get how people hate the second one. People are allowed to enjoy and dislike whatever they do, just for me I love both of these movies to the same level and never really understand what people don't like about it. I'm hoping this becomes a franchise similar to Mission Impossible in how they have new movie come out every couple years.
