There's been speculation that WWE Superstar Becky Lynch has secretly joined the MCU, and some fans are convinced she was spotted on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Now, "The Man" responds...

Becky Lynch put her RAW Women's Championship on the line against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania on Saturday night, and unfortunately, "The Man" left the Show of Shows without her title.

The belief is that Lynch will face Ronda Rousey at next year's WrestleMania in Hollywood, but when ComicBook.com (via TheRingReport.com) caught up with the Irish WWE Superstar, they asked about something else entirely. In May 2020, rumours did the rounds suggesting Lynch was in talks with Marvel Studios for a mystery role, though this was shortly before she announced her pregnancy.

Following this, many fans became convinced they spotted Lynch on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. "That did not look anything like me," Lynch said in response. "I don't think that girl even had red hair! I have no idea, but it was not me." We'll take her word for it, but what about down the line?

"Maybe there could be something in the future. Maybe, maybe," Lynch teased. "We don't tell secrets around here. We don't tell Marvel secrets around here."

As well as competing in a WWE ring, Lynch has quite a few films and TV credits to her name, including The Marine 6: Close Quarters, Rumble, and Showtime's Billions. If the former RAW Women's Champion does make the leap from the squared circle to the MCU, she wouldn't be the first.

Dave Bautista plays Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, while Disney enlisted Sasha Banks to play Koska Reeves in the Star Wars franchise for the second season of The Mandalorian

Who do you think Lynch could play in the MCU?

Don't want to be rude to my american friends but why some of you guys like to watch these made-up fights goes totally over my head, lol

@Fogs - This American friend agrees with you.

@Fogs - Shows and Movies feature made-up fights. You're on a comic book movie website which is entirely about made-up heroes fighting made-up villains.

I never understand comments like this when you're someone who enjoys fictional entertainment featuring fictional fighting.

@Fogs - I used to watch it until I found out it was fake. Poppa Shango attacked The Ultimate Warrior in a grocery store(both in FULL COSTUME) and I cried. That’s when my dad told me the truth about THE WWF.

@Fogs - No offense taken. Enjoy whatever made-up fights you enjoy! Personally, the novelty of the live show is a big draw to go and despite the dubious "practicality" of the fights, a well done professional wrestling match showcases fantastic athleticism and improvisation that I can't help but cheer for. It's sort of like a circus, sort of like a sporting event, sort of like a soap opera. Even my friends who hate wrestling have had a good time at the live shows. If you ever get a chance to go to a live event, I'd encourage it!

@Fogs - the same argument can be made for movies and shows. It’s all entertaining.

@Fogs - lol. How much do you enjoy those made-up fights in all these comic book movies? Funny thing about that is pro wrestling is way more real than any movie fight. The fights may be scripted, but those guys get hurt and injured far more than Hollywood actors or stuntmen. Pro wrestlers are actually getting slammed around and put their bodies through literal hell in these "made up fights". All those moves they're doing are real, and really hurt.

@GhostSurfer - Please don't get mad. I just wanted to catch the appeal. There's nothing really "to understand" in my comment, I guess.

@TheRose - Thanks! Never thought of that, being there sounds like a lot of fun indeed!

@TheSuperMex - Yeah, I guess you're right. More akin to theatre, perhaps.

@CorndogBurglar - Good points. I remember that Mickey Rourke film, it was brutal.

@Fogs - I'm a Brit & have watched for 32 years, did it myself for a good few.

Let's ask, why do you watch movies?

Why do you watch TV shows?

Why do you watch Sports?

Any answers that apply to those three will apply to why people watch Wrestling.

I mean, we're all here on a site for superheroes / comics / CBM, why do we even read comics or watch superhero movies?

Again, same answers will more than likely apply.

@Fogs - Sadly, that movie is pretty spot on for a good amount of pro wrestlers. These guys really put their bodies through the wringer and most end up dying much younger than they probably should have. All for entertainment and fame.

@CorndogBurglar - I'm sure they do, just by looking at the size of them you can wonder the extensive training for their shape alone, not mentioning the whole moveset.

BTW - thanks for being civil, Corndog. I have renewed the respect I had for wrestling (I also liked it when I was little) - if more people here were this kind we'd probably have less clashing between fanbases.

Why is wrestling a thing, I do not understand how anyone could enjoy watching fake fighting in weird costumes. Like I get how you could say the same thing about comics and comic book movies but those things are real in the universe those characters live in, wrestling just looks so fake all the time, I can't have any suspension of disbelief watching this stuff.
slickrickdesigns
slickrickdesigns - 4/5/2022, 2:59 PM
@JustAChillFan - I can’t tell you why, but I had a blast as a kid watching D-Generation X, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker, Kane, Wolfpack, Goldberg, etc. it was like watching a weekly soap opera where anything could happen. It was fun while it lasted but I have no idea what crap they push today with WWE.

@JustAChillFan - You don't appreciate a good male soap opera??? All kidding aside, if you want wrestling nowadays AEW is where to go. WWE has lived long enough, beating WCW, to become the villain. They've lost a number of talented stars from the roster for no other reason than they're not wrestling actively. I checked out officially around the time JR did. Now it's just "entertainment".

@JustAChillFan - As you just said, same can be applied to this medium.

Why are comics or superheroes a thing, but here we are.

OK, you don't like it, it looks phony to you, whatever, guess what, you don't have to drag it, but don't drag thiose that do or even have to pose why is Wretsling a thing when we could say that about anything someone likes or enjoys.

@slickrickdesigns - Sponsorships, big money deals & being more kid / family friendly is why the WWE product is completely different to the Attitude Era.

AEW is more akin to that in today's Wrestling landscape.
