EW has released a batch of new stills from several upcoming 2017 releases, and we've gathered together the ones that may be of interest below.

We have a Matrix reunion as Keanu Reeves' titular hitman from John Wick: Chapter 2 confronts The Bowery King played by Laurence Fishburne, as well as a new look at Tom Cruise's character from The Mummy reboot alongside Russell Crowe, who will play Dr. Henry Jekyll in the movie. Will we see him "Hyde-out" at all?

In addition, there's a first official glimpse of Snowpiercer director Bong Joon-ho's new creature-feature Okja, a new still from Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, and finally a pic from David Soren's animated adaptation of Dav Pilkey's series of Captain Underpants books.

Captain Upderpants? Really????

@AvengersRock - At this point, can you really be surprised? Hollywood will make a movie about anything mildly successful.

@Origame - theres an emoji movie coming out this year....so yeah

@AvengersRock - dude captain underpants was one of my first superheros, show some respect!

@AvengersRock - Actually makes sense. The books were fun and very popular for the age group. And the animation in that image looks like the recent Peanuts movie, which is a plus. Seems like a movie that should do very well, and because of the tone of the books there are plenty of adults who wouldn't mind watching it over other things.
Origame

@Mysterion - That isn't even shocking since we had a Smiley movie.

Origame - 12/27/2016, 8:49 AM
@MosquitoFarmer - I am kind of looking forward to it but I'm wondering how much will change. One of his villains is literally a piece of poop. I don't know how that would work in a movie now.
MosquitoFarmer
MosquitoFarmer - 12/27/2016, 8:59 AM
@Origame - I know it's not a children's movie, but after seeing a talking used condom in Sausage Party, I won't take anything off the table of possibilities.
If they manage to capture the fun of the books (especially the fun of reading the books, cause the pages were very silly and creative, I can easily see this being reasonably successful.

@AvengersRock - Yes really. Have you even read the source material to be so mock-surprised?
Ragnarocknroll
Ragnarocknroll - 12/27/2016, 10:02 AM
@Origame - Umm..The Captain Underpants were more than just 'mildly successful'. It's an extremely popular series of books for a specific demographic. Not everything has to be targeted to you.
Origame
Origame - 12/27/2016, 10:19 AM
@MosquitoFarmer - I don't know. I mean Sausage Party was definitely making it clear it wasn't for kids and I doubt this movie will try to aim for the adult crowd.
Origame
Origame - 12/27/2016, 10:20 AM
@MonsieurCringe - Is that intended for me? Because I even said I was looking forward to it since I read it as a kid. I didn't even question how successful it was. Just that it's a strange choice to make into a feature film.
MosquitoFarmer
MosquitoFarmer - 12/27/2016, 10:58 AM
@Origame - Yeah I know. I was just saying in a more casual sense, a poop villain can be done. I didn't mean to suggest any corrolation between these two movies. Other than being animated, they have nothing to do with one another. But a piece of poop for Captain Underpants is fitting anyway. And nowadays, people are far more desensitized to such material (while also being overly sensitive about the smallest thing).
Origame
Origame - 12/27/2016, 12:10 PM
@MosquitoFarmer - Yes but you have to look at this from the perspective of the studio. I simply can't see a studio being ok with that for a movie intended for a g rating. And that's not even talking about the mpaa who would potentially see that and make it into a pg rating which the studio would try to avoid.
MosquitoFarmer
MosquitoFarmer - 12/27/2016, 12:20 PM
@Origame - Captain Underpants wouldn't be a G rating one way or another. That's not the source material.
Origame
Origame - 12/27/2016, 12:25 PM
@MosquitoFarmer - I read the books when I was 7 which is below a pg rating. My school even let me buy it from their book fair.
MosquitoFarmer
MosquitoFarmer - 12/27/2016, 12:51 PM
@Origame - Doesn't mean the same for the movie necessarily. Frozen is PG. A handful of the Pixar films ar PG. It's not a big deal. But for a book with a poop villain, it's clearly a step up from a general everyone, all encompassed audience.

@AvengersRock - "Captain Upderpants? Really????"

Wasn't he a member of the Avengers at some point?

So what's underneath that Glove Dr. Jekyll?

Maybe that's Mr. Hyde's hand? So he can remain Dr. Jekyll while letting in a little of Mr. Hyde?

That would explain how Crowe has such great strength in the fight scene teased between him and Mr. Cruise in the Featurette.

I had no idea Dr. Jekyl was in the new Mummy. This monster universe could be pretty cool.
AvengersRock
AvengersRock - 12/27/2016, 7:10 AM
I would think this is before Dr. Jekyl takes the potion which makes him Mr. Hyde. Then he can make the transformation in his own movie. Pretty cool, if done correctly.

Just kidding, m8. That'd be an awful idea.

When Russell Crowe turns into Mr. Hyde he should just become an angry Jason Statham.
