Netflix has unveiled a trailer, premiere date and full cast list for Agent Elvis, a new adult animated comedy series featuring Matthew McConaughey as the King of Rock 'n Roll.

The show, which is set to hit the streamer on March 17, reimagines Elvis as a member of a top-secret government agency tasked with protecting the public from terrorists bent on world-domination.

Kaitlin Olson, Johnny Knoxville, Niecy Nash, Tom Kenny, and Don Cheadle have joined the cast.

Guest stars include Ed Helms, Jason Mantzoukas, Christina Hendricks, Kieran Culkin, Chris Elliot, Asif Ali, Fred Armisen, Ego Nwodim, Simon Pegg, Craig Robinson, Gary Cole, George Clinton, Tara Strong, Tony Cavalero. Priscilla Presley voices herself in the series.

Olson will voice CeCe Ryder, "the unpredictable and highly skilled secret agent who barges into Elvis’ life when he joins TCB. As a product of the counterculture, she enjoys annoying Elvis but she’s still a headstrong, mission-focused agent."

Knoxville will voice Bobby Ray, "Elvis’ not-so-smart best friend and sidekick. As Elvis’ one-man entourage, he’s fully devoted to his boss."

Nash plays Bertie, Elvis’ strong-willed mother figure who "runs his day-to-day life and is the only one who can go challenge Elvis."

Kenny plays Scatter, Elvis’ weaponized, chain-smoking, degenerate former NASA chimp with a trigger-happy dark side."

Cheadle voices The Commander, "The unknown spy master who runs the covert agency known as The Central Bureau (TCB). “He’s the mercurial man in charge who knows where all the non-metaphorical bodies are buried.”

This looks pretty ridiculous... in a good way? Check out the trailer for yourselves below, and let us know what you think. Thank you... thankyouverymuch.

Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.

Not feeling McConaughey in the role. Doesn't even seem like he's trying to act like Elvis.

This premise sounds so dumb. Why not just use a fictional musician? Atleast that would make it more interesting than this alt-history premise

I kinda just want a Jhonny Bravo reboot....

or better yet, have it be this same show but instead of Elvis, the lead character is Jhonny Bravo. Maybe in the first episode we learn about Agent Elvis but he dies in action, and the next Agent hired is Jhonny Bravo.

Agent Bravo.

Id watch it. I probably wont watch this.

If Elvis does not get paid for this, where does the money go? Netflix?

Ha, the premise and the voice cast are great - the stiff artwork not so much. Will definitely check this out.
