BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR Trailer Makes It Clear STRANGER THINGS Happen When You're On Vacation

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar starring Wonder Woman 1984's Kristen Wiig, and if this sneak peek is any indication, things are about to get strange(r)...

Kristen Wiig stole the show as Cheetah in Wonder Woman 1984, and she's now returning to that decade for a very different kind of movie: Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar

Now, this might not seem like the sort of thing we'd usually talk about here on CBM, but the first trailer wonderfully homages Stranger Things, and without getting too punny, it instantly becomes apparent that on vacation, some pretty strange things can indeed happen to you (let's face it, we can all relate).

It's certainly the case here, anyway, as lifelong friends Barb and Star embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time...ever.

The synopsis promises romance, friendship, and even a "villain's evil plot," so this is definitely a movie that's beginning to sound more and more like the type of thing we know you guys enjoy! Regardless, it looks like an absolute blast, and seeing as it comes our way from the duo who brought us Bridesmaids (co-stars and co-writers Wiig and Annie Mumolo), it's obviously going to be quite an adventure.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar also stars Jamie Dornan, Damon Wayans Jr., Fortune Feimster, Wendi McLeandon-Covey, Rose Abdoo, Vanessa Bayer, Phyllis Smith, and Kwame Patterson, and it's set to be released just in time for Valentine's Day on February 12, 2021.

Doubt this is remotely as funny as Bridesmaids, but I'm hoping it proves me wrong.
