Creators of 30 Days of Night Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith will have their graphic novel Criminal Macabre in film production soon according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bragi Schut of Season of the Witch and Last Voyage of the Demeter will write the screenplay for MGM based on the story of Cal McDonald, a striking detective who dukes it out with ghastly thugs from the stench of the afterlife.
The project already received a first draft by Steve Niles but will be overwritten by a version by Bragi Schut.
