CLERK: A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT KEVIN SMITH Is Now Available On Blu-ray - Here's What To Expect!

Kevin Smith may not have ever stepped behind the camera to helm a superhero movie, but he's no stranger to the genre. The filmmaker penned several drafts of the now-infamous Superman Lives and, as well as writing a number of critically acclaimed comics, later went on to direct episodes of The Flash and Supergirl

Outside of that genre, he's worked on classics like Clerks, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Tusk, and more (including a TV series we believe was far too short-lived, Reaper).

Now, we'll be able to step behind the scenes with one of the most influential directors of our time in Clerk, a documentary that dives into the life and career of the legendary Kevin Smith. Along the way, we'll witness the journey of a self-made filmmaker who redefined independent cinema and left an indelible mark on pop culture.

The Clerk Blu-ray is available to buy online only at MercantileInstinct.com for either $39.99 for the regular version or $49.99 for one signed by Kevin Smith and director Malcolm Ingram.

Special features include:

  • Brand new commentary with Kevin Smith and Malcolm Ingram
  • Extended interviews with Stan Lee, Judd Nelson, Jason Reitman, and Richard Linklater
  • New interviews with Ralph Garman and Joe Manganiello
  • Extended Intro
  • Alternate Ending
  • Official Trailer
  • Commentary with the Stanley Brother - Join Sean Stanley (Clerk Editor) and his brother Warren (teaser poster designer) as they discuss the film and their experiences being fans who made it good.

This immersive behind-the-scenes documentary follows Smith as a first-time director before he took the world by surprise at the Sundance Film Festival with his seminal indie comedy sensation Clerks and follows his life and cinematic output since.

Like his films, the documentary examines Kevin’s affinity for countless juicy topics from male relationships and sexuality to religious fanaticism and comic book culture.

Using interviews, clips, testimonials and never-before-seen archival footage, Clerk is described as a colourful oral history of one of the entertainment industry's most incredible journeys, as told by his friends, his collaborators, industry professionals and the Not So Silent Bob himself, Kevin Smith.
