Looks interesting...although I'm still undecided about the art work...looks too cartoony...I know it's a comic strip but I appreciate it when they are more lifelike drawings, but I do like how the story board pans out and the images do look pretty fun....hmmm I can't decide

I actually haven't read many Iron Man graphic novels (I only own Iron Man: Extremis and Iron Man: Hypervelocity) Did want to start reading Invincible Iron Man but never got around to it.

I'm not too big of a Matt Fraction fan (see his run on Punisher War Journal), but Iron Man may be a better fit for him. I used to read Iron Man back in Tony's alcoholism days, and Rhodey took over, but I haven't in a long time, other than the Ultimate titles. So, I'll give it a shot.

Is it going to be a "Nuff Said" issue?

@Superboyd "I know it's a comic strip but I appreciate it when they are more lifelike drawings".

You're kidding, right? As much as I agree with you, it's a comic book... It's not supposed to be a Da Vinci or Alex Ross on a regular monthly title.... granted I like Alex Ross for his stuff.... but if you want to churn out a monthly mag on time, a masterpiece standalone it ain't when half of the other writers and artists are also working on other books.

The art on this is passable... but I got used to the 90's art by Wilce Portacio and the Jim Lee crowd.

Blacksands@Dude think he's talking about previous penciller Adi Granov, who does some amazing and realistic art . He is now one of my favorite artists in the genre. He does alot of art varients and issues in the span of a month so he could of deffinetily done this.

I love the direction iron man is taking from a writer's standpoint, but Salvador Larocca's art style is just so inconsistent. I would love to see what Adi Granov or Steve McNiven would do with the new armor. Even Ryan Meinerding (who designed the new armor in the first place) would be awesome.

@AEStark
I'm totally with you on Larocca's art. I love Matt Fraction's work, but Larocca is best when he draws armor. Human characters, however, are a whole other story.
