POLLS

Ever wondered how many people have viewed your articles? You don't just have to rely on the comments sections or the Like/Dislike panel. As a matter of fact, the average ratio of views as apposed to comments on CBM homepage articles is 500 to 1. If you want to garner more interaction in your articles, try including a poll (keep in mind that viewers do not need to be registered members of CBM to vote in your polls). If you've never created a CBM poll, and subsequently not included one in you articles, here's a quick guide on how to use the Poll Section of your Member Area:

Polls can be as simple (Yes/No answers) or complex (list of 25 films with cover art) as you'd like. Here are just a few examples to give you an idea of how they will appear in your articles:

I am still getting acclimated, but learning very fast.

The one reason I was under the impression polls weren't very valid, is because I remember a year back when I started reading - Brent or someone would have a poll, and a huge argument would ensue, then it turned out like five guys were voting 50 times to have their argument won.

I suppose if not abused they're highly useful.

But there seems to be a super heavy influx of new users right now anyway, so it's probably a good time for this. Especially girls, and we know all they can do is clean and cook (no I'm just kidding =P).

@Ozy The greater good Ozy, the greater good =P

@Multi - okay, I've been meaning to ask this, but what kind of acoustic is that in your avatar? Fender is the only brand I touch for acoustic.

I've never really done a poll, but perhaps I will in the future. Good article though, seems pretty simple and easy to follow.

I've never messed with polls. Mostly because I'm not a very good dancer to begin with.;P

BryEL : As much as I love Fender electrics and amps, I have to admit that I have never found one single Fender acoustic that I cared for at all.

Great article MULTI! Will you be doing one of these by yourself each week or will all the editors eventually be doing one? Either way is cool with me bud. :)

OZY: It's easy to say it's common sense when you've done piles of the things but I could have done with something like this when I first tried to make a poll! Sure, the majority of regular users might know how but think of those that dont - now that's common sense.

Thanks a lot Multi! :)
I was looking over how to make a poll at the tutorial and it still didn't make that much sense to me. Maybe because I was on the tutorial for the first step? I'm planning on adding a poll on my next articles and I wasn't sure how to create one. Your description is so much better and more detailed; especially with the pictures and illustrations. "Keep on keeping on!" :D

MULTI: Thanks man! Recieved and replied! :) And even though it's taken me almost 10 minutes to decide, lol, it's got to be "low- cut boob" - although any of 'em will do! That's why I love the summer...

And if you and tea thought the "little brother" thing was funny, head over to 'Editorials' and read mine and his conversation about a "grilfriend"! ;D

ukboy: Good to see you bud! Yeah, I loved Hopper in the first season of 24, not to mention all of the brilliant movies he starred in. Him and Gary Coleman both within 24 hours. RIP to them.

Doublemint boob *click*, *run over to ther computer* *click*, *run next door to friends computer* *click*, go over to cousin's *click* lol

Holy crap - Dennis Hopper passed... didn't realize that. Aside from Apocalypse Now and Hoosiers, I didn't much care for his acting, but he was a decent dude from what I know - think my mom had met him at some point in the 60s.

Can't believe side boob got any clicks... she needs some sun.

@Poni Damnit Poni, you smashed the guitar? We cannot be smashing perfectly good guitars unless we're Jimi... I didn't get a chance to teach you anything. =( I just resoldered one and fixed it beautifully middle of this week- you're breaking them while I'm fixing them. Well, I have 4 and counting... a very good one to learn on too, or maybe you should learn bass.
