This is a excerpt from Larsen's quick chat with
USAToday about the upcoming issue.
"Radiation is the cure-all. You get some of that stuff and life is good. In the real world, you get diarrhea and your hair falls out. But in comics — boom! — you're brought right back to life."
"There's not really going to be anybody going, 'Whoa, don't hit him!' He's kind of a (jerk), let's throw that out there."
"I'm like, 'I should do that!' That's out there now, I said that, someone else is going to do it and then I'm going to look like a chump!"
"It's not like this is ancient history and we're looking at pictures and most of the people are dead and gone. This guy did evil crap recently, my book's kinda goofy fun. It veers from being flat-out parody to being straight superhero stuff, and a lot of people don't quite know what to make of it because I'm so all over the map. I just do everything I love about comics all the time, and sometimes that's the goofy stuff and sometimes it's not."
"There are a lot of people who, when I go and do the overly political stuff, kinda go, 'All right, you're losing me. I don't want to be preached to.' I've got to cool it a little bit on some of that stuff."
SageMode: I don't even know what to say about this one. Although not surprised do to Larsen having once including Hitler as a brain-exposed monkey. Lol. What do you guys think about this?
Savage Dragon #177 will hit stores in October.
