Hands down the most random team up I have ever seen.

Thank you, I thought I was the only one that thought this team was both random and strange. Especially Howard the Duck, I mean I'll admit I don't know a lot about him outside of the movie I saw based on his comics run, but...he just seems so weird. I don't know, guess I have to see him in action more to take him seriously lol...

Why does Howard the Duck look NOTHING like the classic Howard as drawn in the 1970s by the likes of Val Simek, Sal Buscema and Gene Colan?

Nice to see Man-Thing again, too but this all looks very weird indeed.

If they were gonna go the the route of a weird team-up like this, it should have been Howard the Duck, Squirrel-Girl, Rocket Raccoon, and Lockjaw. THAT would have been an epic team up.

Howard the Duck is hiding a hand behind his back on that second to last frame... anybody noticed his hand is flipped? His thumb should be up... either that or he's extremely flexible! Ouch!

@Highball - You're correct. That's his left hand in the spot where his right hand should be.

Ummm, when did Frankenstein's monster begin seeing Vinny Barbarino's hair stylist???

ps. looks like a blatant effort to simply keep a couple of these characters licensing current. They have to be published every so often to remain licensed. Surprised they didn't use White Tiger and Man Wolf instead of She-Hulk and Nighthawk.

Oh God, why does Howard look like the movie version of Howard The Duck?

Howard the Duck is nowhere close to the weirdest character in marvel, M.O.D.O.K.??? Give Howard some love, he hooked up with Marty Mcfly's mom for God's sake!

Is that supposed to be Frankenstein Junior, the teenage years? Someone call the 90s! One of their characters has escaped!

While I want nothing to do with Marvel's events, this book is VERY nicely drawn. FAR better from the crap that passes for art in many modern books. Those expressions on Howard's face are great.

As for why Howard the Duck? His copyright must be coming up. Marvel will bring in all these old characters nobody's seen for twenty years when their copyright is close to expiring to keep that from happening.

@SpiderBat209 - I had every issue of HTD from 1-22 when they came out plus a few later editions and loved the Gene Colan rendition.

The whole Howard for President scenario is lost on this mew generation of readers but in its day, Howard The Duck was required reading for those with a little more savvy than the average reader.

Cynical, political and incredibly intelligent, it's a shame these stories are looked upon as oddities as there is so much to learn from the storytelling in these comics.
