Formula 1 isn't something we typically cover here on ComicBookMovie.com...for obvious reasons! However, this is one crossover we figured you'd all deem pretty spectacular.
The United States Grand Prix takes place tomorrow at the Circuit of the American in Austin, Texas, and French driver Esteban Ocon will be racing into action with a helmet paying homage to Spider-Man. There aren't many things more American than superheroes, and we're sure you'll agree that this is an astonishing design.
Ocon even recreated the infamous Spider-Man pointing meme, and social media is going nuts over a helmet that's arguably stolen the show at what promises to be a very exciting race.
At the Japanese Grand Prix earlier this month, Max Verstappen won his second Formula One World Championship with yet another dominating display from the insanely talented Dutchman. Now, his team, Red Bull, look set to cinch the Constructor's Championship in the good 'ol U.S. of A.
Formula 1 has surged in popularity thanks to Netflix's Drive to Survive series, with America embracing the sport in a big way. Miami hosted a Grand Prix for the first time earlier this year, while Las Vegas will be getting in on the action in 2023.
As for Ocon, he's currently in eighth place in the Drivers Standings, ahead of current teammate Fernando Alonso and right behind British drivers Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. Hopefully, channelling his inner web-slinger will give him the extra boost to find success at a track that's seen a lot of surprising names earn a win over the years.
Next year, the driver will be teaming with Pierre Gasly, so fingers crossed he's a superhero fan as well as we're sure the two Frenchman could come up with some awesome matching designs!
Who will you be rooting for during tomorrow's Grand Prix?
