Liam Neeson In Talks for 'A-TEAM'

Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper are in early talks to star in the new A-Team movie!

Liam Neeson is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to star in its long-gestating bigscreen adaptation of "The A-Team" as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith. Bradley Cooper is in early talks to play Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck in the Joe Carnahan-directed pic based on the 1980s TV series.

Production begins in late August for a June 11, 2010, release.



Ridley Scott is producing with Jules Daly and series creator Stephen J. Cannell, with Tony Scott exec producing through Scott Free. Carnahan and Brian Bloom polished a script by Skip Woods, whose recent script credits include "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra" and "Wolverine."



Neeson is in talks to play Hannibal, the role originated by George Peppard, while Cooper would play "Faceman," the role played by Dirk Benedict.

Oddly enough I believe there as an A-Team comic (probably a marvel comic). I think there was even a Mr. T comic as well. I know he had a cartoon along with cereal that was a rip off of Capt. Crunch.

Yeah, I dont really like either candidate. I've heard of Common for BA. Which is retarded. Hey look it's Common, again, acting like, Common.

I loved A-Team but I dont't see how this can be taken seriously. I prefer a campy, make fun of itself version.

I thought STARSKY & HUTCH was gonna be crap when i first heard about it, but its one of my all time fav's now! Damn, they made NIGHT OF THE MUSEUM 2 when they could've done a sequel to this?? But yeah they don't all work, look at MIAMI VICE, snorefest lol, i still hav'nt managed to get through the whole movie yet! : D

LEEE777--Starsky was a spoof. That's what I want for A-Team. I love a good spoof. The Brady movie, Starsky and Hutch, some other ones I can't think of right now.

OH NO! I hate those damn spoofs. I wish they would only improve on the main concepts and go in that direction. A-Team would be totally serious in PhinehasLand. Dukes of Hazzard was butchery of what could have been. The Brady Movie was among a few TV shows ever begging to be spoofed! The whole incest thing between Marsha and Greg was a pressure-cooker.

BTW, I would have casted Mel Gibson as Hannibal. I could totally see him champing on a cigar and saying, "I love it when a plan comes together..."
