M. Night Shyamalan Suggests There's Still Hope For UNBREAKABLE 2

Unbreakable fans have been hoping for a sequel to the movie for many years, but so much time passed that most of us figured it would never happen. Well, according the the movie's director M. Night Shyamalan, making follow up is "his agenda". Read on for more..

Although M. Night Shyamalan's recent efforts haven't exactly made a very positive impact on fans or critics, there was a time when he made some damn fine films, and Unbreakable was arguably the finest -- in fact it's considered by most to be the best superhero movie ever made that wasn't adapted from a comic book. Sequel rumors have popped up every so often over the last few years, but while talking to MTV, Shyamalan sounds more confident that something will happen than he ever has in the past. The After Earth director says that it's "his agenda" to make another one, adding: "As long as it can be connected to something that I'm feeling right now, then I'll work for me."

Would you guys like to see another Unbreakable or do you think the time has passed?

As much as I enjoyed the 1st one, I think too much time has passed and it's too late.

Yeah no thanks. I've hated every one of his movies, and I don't think After Earth will be any different, much less another Unbreakable.

I loved his first three movies, and even enjoyed The Village and Lady In The Water..but The Happening was the beginning of the end it seems. Wretched.

@ DanRem1221- I disagree. I think with the time that has passed it adds to the story. A feud that started years ago is rekindled. This passing of time adds more compelexity to the story.
We're not talking about making a movie to make a movie here. M. Night is doing it right on this one. Let the story tells itself and when it is time start filming.

"Unbreakable is a film that begins with a train wreck and then, figuratively speaking, becomes one."

- Jay Carr, Boston Globe

I second that opinion

Even though Shyamalan's latest efforts have been horrendous I'd definitely be down for Unbreakable 2. I absolutely love that movie.

i love listening to haters on this site. before a movie has even been viewed these guys start lining up to be the first to bash and state how horrible a movies going to be. being critical just to be critical doesn't make you sound more intelligent. john carter is just one example of how everyone jumped on a band wagon to bash a film before it opened and it took its toll.

Eh why not? Still one of his only movies that I thought was good, but if it goes south, then good riddance! Apparently the only way he makes good movies is if Bruce Willis is in them, so I will give it a chance!

After earth is at 13% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Let me say that again:

T H I R T E E N P E R C E N T!!!

So unless M. Night Shyamalan is planning to film "Unbreakable 2" on his cellphone, it is unlikely to happen.
