While nothing is confirmed as of yet, producer di Bonaventura commented on some of his upcoming projects, saying they will start work on G.I. Joe immediately after Transformers is finished.
Di Bonaventura said he has Wahlberg in mind for the part. Wahlberg told IESB, "You know what, I'll do whatever Lorenzo wants me to do; it really depends on the script, obviously, but it's a cool idea. He says it's going to be kick ass, so yeah. But he's already putting that out there, so who knows. He knows how to get me to say 'yes.'"
The movie will feature the COBRA organization as the main baddies, showing how the Cobra Commander created his terrorist organization. Other COBRA characters may include Destro and Stormshadow. As for the good guys, appearances by the team’s big guns, Duke, Hawk and Snake Eyes can be expected.
Stay tuned for all the latest on this one; it looks to be a heavy hitter!
