Jeff Sneider, film reporter of The Wrap, discussed the week's news on Meet The Movie Press, alongside Mark Reilly and Scott Mantz. Spider-Man, The Flash, and Green Lantern were among the topics brought up. Here are some tidbits you may be interested in.

Spider-Man

After initially looking at actors of all ethnicities, Sony and Marvel supposedly have narrowed the search for the next Spider-Man to young (15-18 years), white actors. Asa Butterfield (Ender's Game, Hugo) and Nolan Gould (Modern Family) are among several young actors rumored to have gone in for the part. It is unclear if there is a front runner at this time.

The Flash

Going off of El Mayimbe's tweet last night regarding two directors being up for directing the speedster's solo flick, Sneider hinted that WB and Sony were in a "bit of a tug-of-war" over comedic geniuses Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21/22 Jump Street, The Last Man On Earth) for big franchise projects. The two projects are presumably The Flash and a Ghostbusters film.

Green Lantern

Sneider does think that the character will be Hal Jordan, but does not think Chris Pine will get the job.

They also talk about the growing cast of Suicide Squad, namely Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Mantz' big buy on Scott Eastwood. Check out the podcast for April Fools, Furious 7TransformersTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and more.
