@Virileman Obviously I couldn't disagree more about TDKR. The only plot hole in that movie is that Bane had no way of knowing that Gordon was going to invade the sewers, but still planted explosives all around Gotham weeks ahead of time to trap the cops there. But i'll be damned if one plot hole and a few logical leaps are going to make me rank TDKR below other comic book movies that do the same thing (including BB and TDK, probably to an even greater extent than TDKR). I'm not going to nit pick every little convenient plot point in TDKR, and then look the other way when every other movie does it. But if you're going to pick apart TDKR, then do it to BB, TDK, and every other CBM too. Why wouldn't you? Why wouldn't you talk about how Bruce refused to kill a guy in BB and instead chose to kill him along with everyone else in the explosion he set off? Why wouldn't you talk about how the Joker conveniently knew all the things he knew, and was able to put huge amounts of explosives anywhere he wanted? I could go on and on with convenient plot points and logical leaps in BB and TDK. If you want to call TDKR a pretentious mess, that's fine. But be consistent, and hold BB and TDK to the same standard. If you don't, it just looks like you have it out for TDKR for some reason.

Anyway, the story in The Dark Knight Rises was the best I've ever seen in a comic book movie. As was the direction, score, acting, cinematography, and action (in terms of large-scale in-camera stunts). And it has one of the best endings I've ever seen in any movie ever, not just in comic book movies. I'm not asking you to agree with me, i'm just telling you why it's my favorite.

How Man Of Steel or TDKR makes it into anyone's top top is beyond me. TDKR had way more plot holes than that and was just an awfully written script by an awful writer (Goyer). It had terrible pacing and a dumb climax. Man of Steel did have great action, albeit that's all it had going for it. The action was not balanced in the movie at all. There was no character development at all besides for Superman. The dialogue was incredibly tedious and very cheesy. For me TDKR was a 5/10 and MOS 6.5/10.
