Featuring the tagline "What is Hidden in Snow, Comes Forth in Thaw," the poster makes a change to the previous controversial poster, which featured star, Rooney Mara, topless, with co-star Daniel Craig covering her. Below is the censored version of the poster:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, starring, Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, and Christopher Plummer, hits US theaters on December 21st and UK on December 26th.

Its no coincidence that the release date falls right in the Oscar race...with most of the hype around Rooney Mara, who recently passed on Spike Lee's Oldboy.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo graphic novel hits stores 2012.

I agree, I like the original poster better.

No, not trolling. I am going to give this one a shot. From the trailer and Fincher's previous work, I don't think this will be dumbed down at all. This and Sherlock Holmes are my guilty pleasures this December. Rooney Mara has her work cut out for her though...

So... the last ones that were released in America WEREN'T the remakes? I thought they were, since they weren't called "Millenium". What was the whole deal about using the same actress and all? What, she just dubbed her own lines in English? Ah well, i was hoping she'd play the same role in english for the remake.

BigTodd71- Which part? Cause that is the same actor and Craig's head is remarkably large compared to the rest of him at the 0:31 mark. Of course you could be acting all 4chan on me for no reason except for just having fallen off the short bus.

lol Can someone tell me how the first poster is censored. I just realized I could fully see her boob.

It's the old "can't see the nipple" idiom. I guess you aren't looking at a boob if you can't see the nipple. Which, for all intents and purposes, is like a guy walking around with his dick out and a finger over his pee hole.

this looks way to close to the original movie for me to go to the theater and watch it so i'll rent it, but I've only seen the first film so I'll prob go see the other two once they come out in the theater.

the only thing I'm curious about is which of the two films will be closer to the book.
