Well here is something that is a surprise to most of us. After re releasing the orignal series back on dvd 4K media has announced today that a new film in the popular franchise is now in development in Japan. They are currently searching for a distributor outside of Asia.
"We're thrilled to bring the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters back to theater screens for their enthusiastic fan base," says Kristen Gray, 4K Media senior vice president operations, business and legal affairs. "It's a major piece in the robust resurgence of the brand that will have significant implications moving forward."

Not much is known about the film at this point in time, not even a release date. However new info is bound to come and it is rumoured that the film will be released in 2015 to coencide with the 15th anniversary of the series.

What are your  thoughts on this? Do you remember this show? Are you excited for this new movie? List off in the comments what you think.

HAHA Yugi Nutz is coming out with a movie. I never liked the show or the game. the game was too easy. All you had to do was counter-act everything the other person did. Not much strategy to it.

Yea the first couple of seasons kicked ass.Not sure bout the rest.I was always intrigued by a live a action film what with the hologram monsters & the cgi n all. It'll prolly suck though honestly.I doubt it will be taken seriously & we'll end up with something like DBZ.
