Ok, so this was a controversial one! As I knew it would be. I'm not going to go into my reasons for choosing the scenes I did too much since I do in the original article, but I did point out that the poll would not simply be the best fanboy action scenes, and judging by your own choices for what should have been on the list that is exactly what many of you wanted. Sorry! Some of the scenes were not even directly related to the movie's story, but were more about an image or moment that stands out in our memories or captures the essence of the director's vision. Which is why things like The Joker hanging from the window made the cut but not the interrogation scene, or Superman's flyby but not the helicopter catch etc. All great moments and if the list had of been longer they would have been on it, but I had to narrow it down to 10 and hard as it was those were my choices. Some of you hated em, some of you loved em. But I think that most will take no issue with the winner anyway.

With 825 votes, over 17% of you chose Nightcrawler's Whitehouse Attack In X-Men 2 as the best scene.



Second and third? Why, only the two choices many seemed to have the most issue with in the comments section. With 780 votes over 16% of you brought Superman's Flyby In Superman The Movie in at second, and with 761 votes it's the ol Joker behaving like a doggy in The Dark Knight.

Honestly, I thought the guards flying around looked pretty silly in the Nightcrawler scene. Like one of them does a full back flip but lands in the same spot. But the scene did have a pretty big impact despite that, so I'm not complaining.

a worthy winner.

i loved the origin of dr.manhatten & spidey vs doc ock train fight.

surprised not to see the following scenes.

blade - the nightclub scene.
x-men first class - the attack on the c.i.a headquaters.
watchmen - rorshach & the child molester/killer.
superman returns - the plane scene.
spider-man 3 - the crane rescue scene.
spider-man 3 - the creation of venom in the church.
the incredible hulk - hulk vs ross on school campus.
x-men first class - a young erik loses it when shaw kills his mother.
superman the movie - helicopter rescue.
spider-man 2 - doc ock loses it with surgens.

Whoever decided to put the Ang Lee Hulk scene with these is a true moron. I mean seriously,look at all the other suggestions in this forum!! Those got passed over for Nick Nolte? About as smart as a bag of hammers u are...

Intruder, maybe to you. Everyone gets different things from that sort of scene. You probably feel I'm thinking about it too much, but I feel you're not thinking about it enough. But that is leading us into "get over to Cinemablend" territory now!:)

Tea, it;'s not about WANTING to believe anything, even taken at face value it;s a brilliant scene and comes at a very important point in the movie. But like I said, we all see different stuff. I look at that scene and see brilliance, and you look at Transformers 3 and see a good movie:)

I am sure there must be a better scene than this..yeah it was a good opening to X2 but I wouldnt say this was the best CBM scene so far!!!

Intruder, yes but your only thinking about it in relation to the movie's story. It's also about the actual film making, the decision to even use it in the first place. It's rare to see such an "arty" type shot in CBM. It's not DEEP, I never said it was. I just think it represents something that set TDK apart from many other comic book movies.

Ckal, we would have complainers no matter what.. this is CBM!:) But yeah, that is a good idea.

Oh and most of these scenes are considered to be among the best my a large majority, it'snot JUST my personal choices! In fact The Hulk one was the only one I slipped in there:)

Tea, I preferred Sam telling Sex Doll that he loved her at the end of Transformers 3..true, believable, emotion. I wept!..oh no wait, I mean puked.

@tea-Routh IS a good actor. He did great with what he got in Superman Returns. The only reason a lot of people think hes a bad actor is because the movie wasnt the best. He was great in Chuck.
I do agree though, the Jokers scene shouldnt have been on this list. If anything, it should have one of these 2 scenes:

This one because the we see who the Joker really is, and he is able to bring out Batmans Dark side (no pun intended)

or this one (couldnt get the original to embed)


because Batman finally captures the Joker and proves that he wont stoop to his level to win. favorite line...'i think you and I are destined to do this forver'

Superman saving aeroplane and landing it into baseball stadium and supermans face on tv screen and whole world watching was really iconic though the film sucked that scene was really iconic and also Thor trying to lift mjolnir in SHIELD campus but fails its also iconic i think these two should have been on the list

Nightcrawler was cool, but Spidey vs Doc Ock was a dream come true... The only gripe I have with it is the obvious transaction from live action to cgi. Still, I think it should have taken the cake...

I voted for the joker scene although I know there are scenes in the movie that were better. I like when he first met the mob face to face. That scene also ment a lot for the movie because it was his first major win that everyone knew he had them in the palm of his hands. That scene came at the end of a series of great spine tingling action.
Whoever coined the term Nolanite is a hater. He is one of if not the best directer of this generation. He has 4 movies in my top 20 of all time already (Begins, Inception, Prestige and TDK).
