Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint has signed on to star as the lead in a new single-camera pilot for CBS called Super Clyde, from Rasing Hope creator Greg Garcia. According to Deadline the story "centers on Clyde (Grint), a meek, unassuming fast food worker who decides to become a super hero". It sounds more like a Kick-Ass/Super type deal than something where the character will be an actual SUPERhero, but we'll see. Mike Fresco (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl) will direct the pilot, and also executive produce with Garcia. This is the first tv series for Grint, who can be seen next in The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman alongside Shia LaBeouf.

Hopefully Grint will be good in this, he was really good in Cross of Honour. Also I'm not sure if a Kick Ass/Super kind of story could work as a TV series.

Smallville went 10 seasons (suck it) and the average rating is that of the first season of Arrow so far, hence it's early renewal. All the haters are going to hate though... which is fine. It's only the only superhero show introducing characters not seen otherwise. (China White, Royal Flush gang etc etc etc) I could go on, but why? You are the same haters that hated on smallville for all of the seasons it was on and it didn't do any bit of damage to it's reputation or it's run... Rupert Grint is a great actor and I would imagine he will do great here, look forward to seeing it. Pessimist internet assholes nerds, man... geez.

In real life if someone told me they watched arrow I'd walk away that show is like small ville when it wouldn't end
