Six Things I Want to See in ACE ATTORNEY 6

The Ace Attorney series is probably my favorite game series of all time. It's even above Zelda, for me at least. And while I've loved what's happened with the series, as of late, there ARE some things  that I want to happen. Things that a lot of fans would agree with me on.

Also, I guess I should explain a bit about the series first and foremost so (taken from the AA wiki):

The Ace Attorney franchise is based around the adventure video games published by Capcom. In these games, the player takes on the role of an attorney who must uncover the truth behind crimes using evidence, cross-examination, and investigation. There are currently eight games in the series. The series has also spawned film, musical, and manga adaptations, as well as crossovers with other franchises.

Seargent or Captain Dick Gumshoe

While Ema is a decent enough detective, I think I'd rather her be the main detective for Apollo-centric cases. And I don't really see the need to bring in a brand new detective again, considering how much of an impression Fulbright has left. And while the Gumshoe/Edgeworth dynamic is one of my favorites in the series, Gummy will always be the definitive AA detective. For me at least. And above all else, Gumshoe has always been the most fun, out of the detectives. And since Edgeworth is now the chief prosecutor, it'd make sense for Gumshoe to be at least a seargent if not captain. Also get Patrick Warburton to voice him in the cut scenes.

Franziska von Karma or a new prosecutor.

Well, let me rephrase that: Franziska, Diego, or someone new. While its true that Franzy is working with Interpol nowadays, she would always be a warm welcome in an Ace Attorney game. And although it's highly unlikely, I'd like to see Godot/Diego return (granted I have no idea what role he'd even play at this point). Even if neither return, I want it to be a fun prosecutor, who's enjoyable to defend against. Someone who doesn't have to be directly tied into the main plot of the game. Someone who has less of a serious impact.
Pearl/Trucy dynamic

Dear god I want this to happen. Pearl and Trucy would probably be best friends. We've seen Pearl and her constant Maya fangirling, but I wanna see her actually acting like a kid. She kinda lost a lot of her childhood, since her mother has been in jail (or dead) for around ten years, and her only real parental figure has been Maya. I wanna see Trucy and Pearl be pratically sisters.
Fill in the gap between Trials & Tribulations and Apollo Justice.

I want to see those seven years fleshed out. Show Nick's investigations into Kristoph Gavin. Show Nick having to cope with the loss of everything he'd worked towards. Show why Maya was absent so much. Maybe have Nick accompany Miles on some of his trips to Europe. Maybe even flesh out Nick's friendship with Larry Butz.
Phoenix's story, not Apollo's or Athena's.

Let me clarify: I love Apollo. He's one of my favorite AA characters. Albeit I don't know much of Athena, because I haven't played Dual Destinies yet. But I don't dislike either of them in the least. Hell I'd LOVE to see a proper sequel to Apollo Justice.
That being said, I don't want Phoenix to take a backseat again. I want him to be THE protagonist. I want this to be a Wright-centric game. Thats not to say Apollo or Athena can't have a case or two, but I don't want them to be the main focus.
Maya. Maya Maya Maya Maya Maya.

Takumi (the creator of Ace Attorney) owes it to us fans to bring Maya back. After Trials & Tribulations, its like she didn't even exist anymore. By the time of Ace Attorney 6, Maya will be 30 years old (and more than likely the Kurain master). So show how she's changed. Show her reaction to Trucy. And most of all, BRING HER RELATIONSHIP WITH NICK FULL CIRCLE. Us fans have been waiting way too long for her and Nick to become special somebodies (as Pearls would call them). I mean honestly. He literally ran across a burning bridge, in order to save her. She took a 600,000 volt shot from a stun gun, in order to save him. And now that they're both older, theres no reason to keep pussyfooting it around.

So that pretty much covers what I want to see in AA6/GS6. Leave a comment and whatnot if thats your thing and yeah.
