Superguy15's Most Anticipated Films (2013 - 2015)

My most anticipated films overall in order of least anticipated to most anticipated.

2013:

10: The Lone Ranger- From what I have seen, I cannot make a judgement one way or another on whether or not this will be good. But the fact that it's based off a pulp hero and is a western is enough to make this top 10 list. I am hoping this becomes Disney's next Pirates.
9: The World's End- I am a huge fan of both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and have seen each one multiple times. Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, and Nick Frost are all hilarious and I can't to see how they tackle the science fiction genre.
8: Evil Dead- I am a huge fan of the original Evil Dead trilogy and I think this looks awesome. I love the fact that it got an NC-17 to begin with and am looking forward to seeing all practical effects. This is gonna be a good one.
7: Thor: The Dark World- I know this seems like it would be higher on the list, but I just am more excited to see those other movies. However, I am really looking forward to seeing more of Thor in Asgard, something we didn't get much of in the first film.
6: World War Z- Even though this has had massive behind the scenes issues and a bunch of I Am Legend-y CGI zombies, I remain hopeful. It's based off of a fantastic book, and when it comes to the zombies, I like how they are doing what James Cameron did with the Xenomorphs in Aliens: they're making the zombies like ants. I'm hoping this is a massive zombie epic and has at least some practical effects.
5: Iron Man 3- With this film, I am hoping to see how they deal with solo films after the Avengers. The Mandarin looks to be the coolest MCU villain so far, and I am hoping this doesn't have too many cameos.
4: Star Trek Into Darkness- Must I say anything? This looks like it will have awesome action sequences and the villain looks awesome. I'm really hoping this takes the franchise in a new direction and is one of the biggest blockbusters this year and sets up many sequels to come, even if JJ doesn't return for Star Trek 3.
3: Pacific Rim- Del Toro doing a movie with giant monsters fighting giant robots. I feel like I don't have to say anything else. I really hope this and 2014's Godzilla brings monster movies back, that way Cloverfield 2 can hopefully happen.
2: The Wolverine- I just hope this starts the official Wolverine film series. It takes place after X3, which is good, because that means it can go into differant directions without having to fit into the continuity of the main trilogy. I also want to see this have some hints to Days of Future Past.
1: Man of Steel- Superman is my favorite character of all time and we haven't seen him in a good movie since 2006. No, I'm not talking about Superman Returns, I'm talking about Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. So we really haven't seen him in a good movie since the 80's. I hope this is a massive hit and sets up many sequels. What I don't want to see is a Justice League movie any time soon. What I'd rather see is a few Man of Steel sequels, some Flash, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman movies, and maybe a Green Lantern reboot before we see the JL on screen.

2014:

10: Ninja Turtles- This is one here purely because it is one of those "I can't wait to see how bad this will get" type of movies.
9: Jurassic Park IV- We have not seen a Jurassic Park movie for a long time and I am curious to see where they will go with the series. I am ready for some good old dinosaur action!
8: Night at the Museum 3- I know this seems like a weird choice, but I really enjoyed the first 2 films. Yeah the second one had some flaws, but overall it's a fun series and I really want to see this. Wondering if it will be an end to the trilogy, or if they are planning more?
7: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes- This is one of those films that I feel will either suck, or be really awesome. I really hope it's the second one, because the first one was awesome and the apes franchise has a lot of untapped potential, especially when you are starting at the beginning like Rise did.
6: Captain America: The Winter Soldier- I know this should be higher on the list, but I am kind of worried about this one. In my opinion, I don't like the idea of Captain America leading a team, I would rather see him go solo. But I am confident that Marvel will make the right choice, and I do think this will be pretty cool. But man, I really wanna see more of Cap fighting in WW2.
5: Guardians of the Galaxy- This is gonna be great because Marvel is expanding the MCU. It's not all just sequels, this will introduce new characters and hopefully show Thanos. That is one of the reasons I am more excited for Phase 3 than Phase 2, because Phase 3 will be introducing a lot more new characters.
4: RoboCop- The original was awesome, and we haven't seen RoboCop for a LONG time. I want this to stay true to the awesome roots, but also go in a new direction. I'll be watching out for this one.
3: Godzilla- I have not seen a really cool giant monster movie since Cloverfield. While Pacific Rim looks great, I mean, come on, this is GODZILLA. I can't wait to see the King of the Monsters back on the screen! I really hope this is a franchise starter in terms of an American Godzilla series.
2: The Amazing Spider-Man 2- If they do this right, it could be THE definative Spider-Man movie. The costume looks great, the cast is awesome, they're setting up more sequels with this one; so far I haven't seen one negative thing about this.
1: X-Men: Days of Future Past- I CANNOT wait for this! Just like TASM2, this could be the definative X-film. It's got everything going for it, it's a sequel to what is in my opinion the best X-Men film (X-Men: First Class), and it's correcting continuity errors. I for one can't wait.

2015:

5: Peanuts- This is a weird choice, but come on! There really aren't a lot of films announced for 2015 yet! I would like to see Charlie Brown and the gang back on the big screen and I think this could be cool. As more films get announced, this will probably be knocked off the list. Still, I'll go see it.
4: The Fantastic Four- I thought the first one was alright and I thought the second one sucked. But this reboot has a lot of potential and I hope they get it right. It will be interesting to see how they connect this to the X-Men. Would rather see it connected to the Avengers but hey, what are you gonna do?
3: The Avengers 2- I know you're all thinking "number 3?! What is he thinking?!" I for one cannot wait for this. I think it will be awesome and be even better than the first one.
2: Ant-Man- No, I'm not joking. I'm really excited that Edgar Wright is directing this and I want to see it kick-off Phase 3. If done right, this could be the next Iron Man. I really want to see a smaller scale, not as big of a blockbuster super hero film and I think this will be that. I'm excited that it will be something differant.
1: Star Wars Episode VII- This should be obvious. JJ Abrams is directing, we get to see what happens after Return of the Jedi, and the old cast is coming back! This will be awesome! I can't wait to see what the sequel trilogy will be like, and I can't wait to see what comes after that!

What do you think of this list? What are your most anticipated movies? Sound off below, and let me know!

Once more release dates and films get announced, I'll be able to get my 2015 films a little bit more in order.

Don't think the original Star Wars cast coming back will make the movie better. IMO, it's going to be he odd part of the movie. It feels forced. Luke, Han and Leia's stories were closed, nothing to add here. I guess I'll have to wait until the actual movie to judge it.

Other than that, that is pretty much my own list, regarding the superhero movies. Though i'm more excited for TASM2 than DoFP. I was super excited to hear they were bringing that story to the screen, but I don't know why, the excitement has gone down a bit since. Amazing Spider-Man 2 simply looks [frick]ing brilliant up to now.

Ant-Man:"I really want to see a smaller scale, not as big of a blockbuster super hero film and I think this will be that." I'll assume that the pun was unintended.

I agree with most of your picks, except that the MCU movies would all be on top for me (what can I say? The MCU has consumed my life) and I was never a huge Star Wars fan, so it's barely a blip on my radar, but I'll watch it anyway.

I'm really looking forward to World War Z. It looks more like zombie action than zombie horror. What I like is that it doesn't look like it's copying The Walking Dead.
