I'm sure many of you will remember Superted: a teddy bear is tossed out of a factory, brought to life by a spotty alien and given super powers by Mother Nature herself. He then battles Texas Pete and his henchmen, some of whom might be considered les than politically correct by today's standards. “In SuperTed, we had a gun-slinging cowboy, a flamboyantly gay skeleton and a fat guy who had jokes made about his weight,” Young tells this week’s Radio Times. “And all these things you just wouldn’t do today. But you can still write the show in a funny, entertaining way.” The new series is expected to air on the BBC in 2016. More at the link below.
