Ladys and Gentlemen I would like to welcome you to the CBM Oscars! Tonight we will be giving awards to the best comic book movies out there. These are the results from the voting. I'd like to start us off with Andy Samberg:
Now our first award is the greatest Marvel comic book movie. This was a very a very close poll but the winner was:
With 53.86%
Next is of course the greatest DC comics, comic book movie. This is one that I didn't expect a suprise from, the winner obviously being:
The Dark Knight with 65.82%.
Next we shall have the Most Faithful Adaption. The point of this award was to see what comic book adaption was the most like it with the least diffrences from the comic. The winner was:
Watchmen with 55.93%
Next was Bad Adaption, That Still Kicked-Ass. This award was to see what adaption was hardly like its comic counterpart, that was probally better off not being like it's source. The winner was:
The Batman in the Nolanverse, with 36%.
Next was Best Advertising, which tells us what film is keeping us satisfied the most. The winner being:
Thor with 63.27%.
Next we will have the Best Poster. This award was what voters thought was the coolest looking poster. The winner being:
The Dark Knight with 31.11%.
For a quick advertisment, those that haven't read White Fire, be sure to check that out.
Now we have the Getting Old award. The point of this was to see what film series do we think should just stop. The winner was:
X-Men, which isn't a suprise seeing as they won't be stopping there films for awhile. With 84.21%
Now we shall have the award Best Villian(From Comics) Used. This was to honor the best used villian from the comics in a film. The winner:
The Joker from the Adam West film all the way to Heath Ledger, winning with 73.91%.
Now for the Most Wanted Villian in a Film. This is honoring the villian that we want most in a film. The winner:
Braniac in the Man of Steel, winning with 41.86%.
We shall now be presenting The Best Used Storylin/Series used in a Film. The winner:
Batman: Year One in Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight with 27.5%.
Next is the Most Wanted Storyling/Series in a film. This was very close, as we were able to get a tie. So we shall be presenting this to two storylines. First is:
Batman: Knightfall in The Dark Knight Rises. Second is:
Hands of the Mandarin in Ironman 3, both winning with 22.86%
Now for the Most Misunderstood Film. I wanted to see what everyone thought critics were to harsh on. The winner being:
Daredevil with 23.26%. This film is very enjoyable, while it got many negative reviews, though not comparing to films like Catwoman.
Now we have The Best Score. The winner :
Winning with 35.9%.
Now for The Greatest Special Effects. This was a very close one, but overall the winner was:
Spiderman winning with 42.86%.
Now for The Most Anticipated Film. This was very suprising as one of the choices was the Avengers yet the winner was:
The Dark knight Rises with 33.33%.
We shall now present the Greatest Film Series, which was won by:
The Batman Nolanverse with 69.70%.
Last but not least we will The Greatest Comic Book Movie of All Time. This is our biggest award, and will lead to the most debate. The winner is :
The dark Knight wins with 53.66%. Not only does it take the award of Greatest CBM, but the blockbuster award as it won 4 awards.
