He thought it was over. After fighting his way out of a building filled with gangsters and madmen – a fight that left the bodies of police and gangsters alike piled in the halls – rookie Jakarta cop Rama thought it was done and he could resume a normal life. He couldn’t have been more wrong.

Formidable though they may have been, Rama’s opponents in that fateful building were nothing more than small fish swimming in a pond much larger than he ever dreamed possible. And his triumph over the small fry has attracted the attention of the predators farther up the food chain. His family at risk, Rama has only one choice to protect his infant son and wife: He must go undercover to enter the criminal underworld himself and climb through the hierarchy of competing forces until it leads him to the corrupt politicians and police pulling the strings at the top of the heap.

And so Rama begins a new odyssey of violence, a journey that will force him to set aside his own life and history and take on a new identity as the violent offender “Yuda.” In prison he must gain the confidence of Uco – the son of a prominent gang kingpin – to join the gang himself, laying his own life on the line in a desperate all-or-nothing gambit to bring the whole rotten enterprise to an end.

Yeah the action was top notch but I still didn't give a shit about anyone in the movie. It's a good movie for sure though.

This was hands down one of the greatest action movies I have ever seen. It was better than the first movie because it kept the action that we loved from the first movie and added a decent storyline to it. It was like a martial arts version of the Departed.

@marvel72

How could you possibly like the Raid movies? You're always on here talking about how much you hate shaky cam and both of these movies were all shaky cam, all the time.

Raid 2 sucked. Most disappointing movie of the year.

@ blackandyellow

i don't think the shaky cam was that bad,i just love violent martial art movies.

as for my hate of shaky cam,its alright in gladiator & saving private ryan but i felt it was unnecessary in man of steel i.e nearly every shot.

@marvel72

They literally used shaky cam just as much in Captain America 2.

It's weird how this straight forward action film has some of the best camera work.
Some of the shots are Wes Anderson style but in a gritty way.

Look.....I'll be the first to admit and say that the raid 2 is the BEST action movie ever!!! Not one of the best THE BEST
Movie had it's flaws all movies do but the action alone is some of the best action scenes I have ever seen
The last fight scene alone is better than any other action movie that has come out this year!!
Words can not describe how amazing that scene was

And I agree I can't take
Hollywood seriously no more with their action movies
Shaky cameras and cut scenes every 2 seconds....I watched Jack Ryan recently there is one fight scene
They cut the camera 20-30 times in that 2 minute fight scene

The raid 2 fight scene....none of that!!
Yes the camera was shaky in the movie but not that bad like all these action movies

Simply put....best action movie ever!!!

@ blackandyellow

i forgot about captain america the winter soldier,shaky cam was only really used in the action/fight scenes,so not all bad.

probably the only fault with captain america the winter soldier.

I loved this movie but STILL am unsure why/how 'he' returns from the dead after the first movie, as another character.

Used he as to not spoil anything for peo ppl living under a rock.

This sequel was no where near as good as I'd hoped.

But it still rocked.
