Things kick off in Uncanny X-Men #534.1, as Gillen teams up with superstar artist Carlos Pacheco for a special point one issue, a great jumping on point for new readers! When the public finds out that the former Mutant Menace, Magneto, is not only sitting off the coast of San Francisco, but an X-Man – there will be some explaining to do. Then, fan-favorite artist Terry Dodson joins Gillen for an all new explosive arc, beginning in Uncanny X-Men #535! Watch as Gillen and Dodson pit the X-Men against a force they thought they would never see again…inhabitants from BREAKWORLD! With a mission that will strike the lives of star-crossed lovers Colossus and Kitty Pryde, there’s no telling what can happen next!

"When I joined Matt [Fraction] on Uncanny, I believe I said I couldn't be any more excited. I've been proved a shameful liar.” explains Gillen. “I'm even more excited now. When I look at what we've got planned, and knowing that I'm going to be writing it, I just lean back in my chair and cackle until my fiancée starts worrying about me."

Just what does Kieron Gillen have planned for the Uncanny X-Men? And what could the spaceship from Breakworld mean for X-Men and the Marvel Universe? Find out as Kieron Gillen begins his all new X-tenure with three gripping issues in one month starting with Uncanny X-Men #534.1!

Jesus, Magneto is on the X-Men? They've completely destroyed Grant Morrison's excellent vision. Thanks Joss Whedon. Douche.

Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men did not include Magneto, especially not as part of the team. Magneto was brought in following the team's move to the west coast. So apparently Joss is not the douche to whom you're referring.

Haha, I know Whedon didn't bring back Magneto, but his crappy writing opened the door for further crappy writing, like the idea to add Magneto to the X-Men ranks. Lame balls. Let's just say the quality chasm between Morrison and Whedon is wide and deep. And yeah, I stopped reading X-Men a few issues into Whedon's craptastic run.

magneto's an x-man again?
something new story-wise would be nice.

the issues are still $3.99 a month?
it's simply too much to pay.

yep, not buying it.

Whedon's run on Astonishing was one of the best X-Men stories, EVER.

I'm liking the sound of this. I lost interest in Uncanny fairly recently, but I might pick this up. The Breakworld's coming back? Sounds interesting.

@dellamorte1872: ohh.. that's Kitty Pride? wow. i feel really sorry for her, i mean whoever put her in that situation must really had a hard time of conceiving a way to write Kitty in a very "original" and "artistic" manner.. it's just sad..
thanks anyway, dude..
