The adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Nolan had this to say of the film: "It’s a very classically constructed movie, but the freshness of the narrative elements really enhance it. I liken it to the blockbusters I grew up with as a kid, family films in the best sense: edgy, incisive, challenging." There's more at the link below too. Directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), a script based on the combination of an original idea by Nolan and an existing script by Jonathan Nolan. The cast includes: Matthew McConaughey (“Magic Mike”), Anne Hathaway (“Les Miserables”), Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty”), Bill Irwin (“Rachel Getting Married”), John Lithgow (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), Casey Affleck (“Gone Baby Gone”), David Gyasi (“Cloud Atlas”), Wes Bentley (“The Hunger Games”), Mackenzie Foy (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2”) Timothée Chalamet (TV’s “Homeland”), Topher Grace (“Spider-Man 3”), David Oyelowo (“Jack Reacher”), Ellen Burstyn (“The Exorcist”), and Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”.The film will be released in IMAX® and 35mm theaters on November 7, 2014.

Shhhh, stop being butthurt about Nolan's Bat-films and also stop feeding the troll. Thank you.

"Look, I can't be the only one who's excited for this movie but also wonders why it's on COMICBOOKmovie.com?"

@the1egend1ives If you pay attention to the other movies/shows covered on this site, a HUGE chunk of them have nothing to do with comic book movies. Why do we cover Star Wars so much here? Why are we reading Jurassic World articles here? Why is there so much Star Trek news here? Same reason why this site is covering Interstellar. CBM.com has never been exclusively about comic book news. It covers anything and everything, just with a larger focus on comic book stuff. It's not a big deal to have non comic book stuff here too, nor is that anything new.

Of course, you could go along with Mantinium's stance of how Nolan is some kind of god-in-human-form and that he is somehow singlehandedly responsible for the characters of Batman and Superman...but I think my explanation is slightly more factual. And less trollish.

"who was Batman and Superman to the general film going audience before Nolan got involved...."

Only the most popular comic book character...besides Superman, of course.

Perhaps you're too young to remember, but I seem to recall SEVERAL Batman films with varying degrees of success before Nolan came along. You're trying to rewrite history and claim that Batman was irrelevant before Nolan, and that's just patently false. Michael Keaton is STILL the definitive Batman to tons of people. There's still debate over whether Ledger's Joker or Nicholson's Joker was the better performance.

Batman was in the public eye for DECADES before Nolan's awesome trilogy, and same goes for Superman before Snyder came along. I'm pretty sure Christopher Reeves is SILL the definitive Superman to the majority of movie-going audiences, even with Man of Steel out there. There were at least FIVE Superman films before Snyder, with countless comic books, TV shows, graphic novels, etc etc etc.

You're only fooling yourself to try and claim that it's taken Nolan's involvement to get the public to care about Batman and Superman. They cared LONG before Nolan or Snyder ever got involved. Stop talking like a child and learn to get some perspective for Christ's sake.

@MantiniuMan You never said ANYTHING about Nolan "resurrecting" Batman before that last comment, and neither did I. Your ENTIRE point was, and I quote:

"who was Batman and Superman to the general film going audience before Nolan got involved....

None existant on a film level.
"

That implies that NONE of the previous movies had any impact on the general public. As you keep saying, WRONG. I proved that with numerous examples in my very last comment. Let's look at what you said next:

"NOW
Batman and Superman are well known and relevant to the film going audience...
"

Buy saying "NOW", you were saying that before Nolan, Batman and Superman weren't well-known...and that's blatant bullshit as well, which I also proved in that last comment.

It's funny that NOW you start pulling the "resurrecting" card after I called you out on your own BS before. Of course, only an idiot would try to say that Nolan didn't resurrect Batman after the disaster of a movie before his. But look through any of my previous comments: I never said that, now did I? Keep making up those strawman arguments, shifting those goalposts, and changing your arguments though! It just makes it that much easier to destroy every argument you try to come up with.

@MantiniuMan

"Relatively speaking in the reality of relevance...."

This sentence literally makes no sense. What the hell are you even trying to say here? Did you have a stroke?

"AFTER BandR the GA lost faith in BATMAN after TDKTrilogy the general audience now want BATMAN more then ever meaning Nolan left the Bat in a healthy place unlike BandR so WRONG!"

This is pretty much EXACTLY what I just said. I completely agree with this statement...because you simply reworded what I just said to you. This doesn't prove me "WRONG" or anything. What exactly was the point in saying this? Funny thing is, had you been saying this statement from the beginning and NOT change your entire argument half-way through, you wouldn't be getting your ass handed to you in this conversation in the first place.

"After SReturns the GA lost faith in SUPERMAN on film and didn't care for his sequel..."

Once AGAIN, I completely agree with this. How exactly does that prove me "WRONG" with anything?? You're literally just agreeing with what I said to you in my last comment. And now this is officially the dumbest conversation I've ever had on CBM.

You really have no idea what you're even trying to argue at this point, do you? You keep changing your argument whenever I present you with actual facts, and you probably have no idea you're doing it. This is ignorance and stupidity at its finest, ladies and gents.

Seriously, I just feel bad now. You're clearly not understanding anything that I've been saying to you this whole time. Please re-read all of your comments and my comments that replied to you until you figure out what I'm actually trying to say, and then you can figure out what you're actually trying to say too.

I really have no idea how else to phrase my argument to you, so you're just going to have to try your hardest to actually read what I've written and try to grasp what I'm saying here. You're just trying so hard to attack what I'm saying, simply because you don't like me or whatever, and you're putting no thought or effort into what you say. Seriously, try again please. Because this is just pathetic.

@MantiniuMan Jesus Christ, when did I EVER complain about your first post in this thread?? You're not very good at this whole reading comprehension thing, are you?

Once again, read through your comments and my comments that replied to you. HINT: my first few comments directed at you sort of spell out EXACTLY what my problem is with what you said. Seriously, this shouldn't be that hard.

You know what, I change my mind. Please don't respond anymore. You're clearly either not bright enough to understand the words on this page, or you're just willfully ignorant. Either way, it's not worth me taking the time and effort to spell this out for you like a child. Figure it out yourself, bud, and get back to me if/when you actually manage to comprehend what we're even arguing about.
