Lionsgate and BOOM! Studios are clearly banking on Power Rangers being a success as they're teaming up to release a sequel just five days after the movie hits theaters. Available from March 29th, Power Rangers: Aftershock is written by Ryan Parrott (Batman: Gates of Gotham) with art by Lucas Werneck (Moon Knight), and focuses on the team once they've defeated Rita Repulsa and become heroes.

As you can see, the covers below give us a new look at the team's costumes, and if you already hate them, chances are this will do nothing to change your mind! They do arguably look a little better as comic book artwork than in the official image, but either way, this is a very different look for the heroes. Do you guys have any interest in picking up this graphic novel when it goes on sale next year?

From the publisher of the critically acclaimed Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic series comes an original story set in the universe of the upcoming Power Rangers feature film. This explosive, all-new tale picks up immediately after the events of Lionsgate’s highly anticipated movie, in theaters March 24, 2017. See the film, then deep dive into the continued adventures of Jason, Kimberly, Trini, Zack, and Billy! Written by Ryan Parrott (Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, Batman: Gates of Gotham) and illustrated by artist Lucas Werneck. Features an exclusive Previews cover edition by Greg Smallwood (Moon Knight) available only through your local comic book shop!

Yeah, no. These are really bad. Not only are they almost TOO abstract and alien for the tone they're aiming for, but they're also too busy. Why not just take the original suits and streamline them like so?
