Believe it or not, in one week, we're getting a new Power Rangers movie!

The review embargo doesn't lift until Monday, but with preview screenings taking place all around the world, word has started to leak out about the Dean Israelite-directed film and for the most part, it's been trending positive, which should certainly be good news for long-time fans of the original series. Now, as for whether the reviews will reflect the same positivity is yet-to-be-seen, but we should know soon enough.

On another note, during recent appearances on The Today Show, stars Elizabeth Banks and Bryan Cranston debuted new clips featuring their iconic characters. The first clip sees Rita Repulsa attacking Becky Gomez's Trini in her bedroom while the second clip features Zordon & Alpha 5 meeting the new Rangers for the very first time.

Check out the clips at the beginning of the two interview segments below:

Plus, here's a video of Cranston transforming into Zordon:

Banks brings in the scenery-chewing and Cranston the seriousness and presence, I actually like what I'm seeing from those two actors.

@Spidey91 - I agree. They're modernizing it, while sticking to a lot of classic ideas and principles dealt with in the original show.

They got the wrong actor for Zordon.

This is one of the reasons why I always hated the Power Rangers. Surprised Zack didn't have a slice of watermelon and a piece of chicken in every scene.

@SuperCat - Really? The only thing I see is a black man embracing his cultures and passions. There's nothing wrong with that.

This is really the only thing that's gotten me remotely interested with even the cast other than Elizabeth Banks

I don't have much faith in this film being "great" per se, but Elizabeth Banks looks to be delivering a fantastic performance and that clip shows it; as it was surprisingly really creepy and intense. Hopefully we'll all be pleasantly surprised by the movie come March 24th.

Amazing the hate being spewed at a movie that is actually probably pretty good. I don't know if you are all too young or just grew into boring douchebags as you aged but everything doesn't have to be the dark knight or super intense. Cheese and goofy things can be enjoyable too.

Funny part is ALL of you are going to see it. If nothing more than to complain about it. How do I know? Because you are posting in this thread. I have no intentions of seeing Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and I NEVER look at stuff for that film. You only frequent things you deep down have a desire to see or be a partner of.

Long way of saying- stop frontin'.

@CBMAficionado - Except in that article avi she looks like Kellyanne Conway without the makeup and hair extensions.

@Battabing - LOL! For me, it's really her face; the shape of it. So, with or without makeup (or extensions), she' beautiful to me.
