An awesome new trailer for the upcoming third and final season of Star Trek: Picard has been released (via SFFGazette.com) and we're confident fans of The Next Generation will love everything about this latest preview.

Many of Jean-Luc's old allies return, this time to face Amanda Plummer's terrifying Vadic, the alien Captain of the warship Shrike who is looking to lay waste to the United Federation of Planets. We see that a distress call from Crusher is what prompts the iconic crew to return to action, though we're also getting some new additions to the Paramount+ series.

Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut is set to play Ensign Sidney La Forge, the eldest daughter of Burton's Geordi La Forge and helmsman of the U.S.S. Titan. Mica Burton, LeVar Burton's real-life daughter, will take on the role of Geordi's youngest child, Alandra La Forge.

Talking at a panel for Star Trek: Picard at New York Comic Con, Sir Patrick Stewart strongly hinted that his time as Jean-Luc may not be over, even with this show's end now imminent. "I understand there are Paramount+ people here...and Paramount Pictures...we could still make a movie," the legendary actor teased.

Fans are bound to be excited about that promise, especially when Paramount Pictures is still struggling to figure out what they should do with the franchise on the big screen. Going back to television, though, and a trailer for Star Trek Discovery season 5 was also released this weekend. You can watch that by clicking here.

Picard features Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and follows this iconic character into the next chapter of his life. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd also star.

The final season premieres on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, exclusively on Paramount+.

I'll give this two episodes, just because I have a soft spot for TNG. But if it sucks, I'm out.

How is Lore even alive. In ST:TNG Data totally disassembled and destroyed Lore.

This show gets worse and worse every season.

@TyrantBossMedia - We had a whole season based on Picard not being able to make romantic/personal connections with people despite it happening multiple times in TNG so nothing surprises me anymore

They don’t get it. It may have been because of budget and technology at the time, but TNG couldn’t do battles like this every week and so they had to create compelling stories.
Honestly, if the Best of Both Worlds was made today it would just be 2 hours of explosions, which would suck
