Rumor Has It That [SPOILER] Will Be Making An Appearance In SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY

With Disney's focus currently on Avengers: Infinity War, it probably won't be until that movie is released that we get a new look at Solo: A Star Wars Story. Despite that, possible details continue popping up online and the latest hints at a major connection to the rest of the Star Wars Saga due to a cameo appearance from a character who has quite the storied history with the fan-favourite smuggler.

A source tells The Sun (admittedly not the most reputable source but bear with us) that we're going to learn more about why Han owes Jabba the Hutt so much money in the upcoming prequel, something which definitely makes sense and would be a perfect way to wrap this story up for Star Wars fans.

You're probably pretty dubious about these claims (and understandably so) but the newspaper reached out to VFX artist Ben Morris, who has worked on both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and he told them: "Jabba the Hutt would be a good guess. If I say any more I will get into trouble." That's not exactly confirmation but it does go some way
in adding weight to the claims made by the tabloid.

We'll obviously have to wait and see but be sure to stay tuned for details when we have them.

If the source is unreliable then why report on what they have said? Surely it would be better to wait until there are more reliable sources

@MikeyL - while someone else reports it?

I really don’t mind articles about vague rumors. They aren’t hurting anyone. I come here to read random news about comic movies, and talk about it. Can’t do that as often if little rumors aren’t reported on.

@BloodyBed - understandable, but when the source is so unreliable, it’s less rumour and more guessing

After The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi I'm done with this franchise. This film is being made solely to exploit people's nostalgia to make money. That's the whole point of these new Star Wars films.

This isn't even a rumour it's basically confirmed. Didn't Jabba's Palace Lego sets leak or something?

@Nightwing1015 - Yep and I think it was Josh who wrote the article too but I could be mistaken.

Anyway, I’d like to see Jabba and his consortium😁

I’m getting more and more excited for that flick. Haters get the [frick] off and watch TLJ.

OK, so take this with a lot of salt (this is gonna sound ridiculous, "My sister's dog knows a guy who knows Katy Perry" level of ridiculous), but one of my best friends who works for Time Warner, and who takes me to all my pre-screenings, said that he talked with a guy from Gentle Giant who's been working on a few scenes (and has seen only those), and that those scenes looked amazing.

My friend (whom I trust completely) very disappointed in TLJ, so he asked the guy if what he saw was any good, and the guy said something like "I wasn't expecting anything except that it would look great, and holy shit, it really does".

So, again, doesn't mean shit, could be a blatant lie, I don't know the other guy, didn't even know there were people working for GG in my country, and of course a couple of battle scenes are gonna look fantastic, it's ILM and Star Wars, but still, I'd rather have that bit of opinion than the opposite.

The S*n aren't just "not the most reputable source" they're absolute scum and shouldn't ever be mentioned on here. For those that don't know they helped deny justice to families who lost 96 people at a game of football. Instead of calling on authorities to find out what happened they made up a load of lies like people were robbing and urinating on the dead and those trapped while putting it on the front page of their paper with the headline 'The Truth'. A whole city in the UK - and more areas now - don't even sell the paper.

Good. Get Jabba in there.
Now that Del Torro has won the Oscars, Lucasfilm should have no problem greenlighting his Jabba/Gangster Film.
