It's just been announced that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Mulan actress Ming-Na Wen will have a role in Disney+'s The Mandalorian, and we have our first look at her character along with some details on how she'll factor into the story.

According to Vanity Fair, Wen will play a lethal assassin named Fennec Shand, who crosses paths with Pedro Pascal’s masked bounty hunter midway through the first season.

“We got our inspiration really from the name. The idea of a fennec fox came to mind,” Wen explains. “She’s tricky, and yet she’s able to maneuver and survive, and be stealthy—so very graceful and agile. I just love that whole image with the name.”

You can get a glimpse of Shand in the newly released teaser below, which also features more footage of The Mandalorian himself in action.

Check out the trailer below along with a batch of character posters, and let us know what you think in the comments.

Can’t wait for this show!!!
Kinda off topic but now Anthony Daniels is being bashed by “fans” for saying he was disappointed with how C3PO was handled in the new trilogy, so the “fans” are attacking him and hoping 3PO gets destroyed and bashing Daniels for his age. 🤦‍♂️

I'm really glad she keeps getting work from Disney even after all these years

@Himura - Disney is good to the actors in its “family” for lack of a better word.

I’ve been noticing lately that a ton of actors find roles within Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, Disney animation, and Disney live action within a short amount of time.

Like Idris Elba being in Thor and Zootopia and Jungle Book.

Or Lupita Nyong’o being in Jungle Book, Black Panther, and Star Wars

@PicolasCage - that’s called signing multi-picture deals. It’s pretty darn common amongst all studios.

I don't know. She was so boring in Agents of Shield. But is that just her, or because she wasn't given anything really exciting or interesting to do with that silly show?

I will take as much Ming-Na Wen as I can get. She is a Goddess. Bring it, Disney+.
