Here a review for the film, "Attack the Block," and it seems to be a very positive review. It received a 9/10 stars. I haven't seen this film yet, but I am looking forward to it when it hits DVD. For anyone who doesn't know about this film it is about a group of teens who live out in the hood in England who rob and steal from people, raise all kinds of hell, and have run ins with the feds. However, things start to get challenging for Moses(the leader) and his gang when they encounter something a little more dangerous than an elderly woman walking home with a purse full of money. They have a run in with a meteor that lands on planet earth and isn't just an ordinary moon rock. A three foot tall alien jumps out from the meteor and attacks one of the "tough guys" from the group. They try to keep it real by stomping the alien a new asshole. After they take care of business, they go back to the block with their new trophy to brag about it, but doesn't realize it will be something they regret. Soon enough, more aliens start coming to earth so they can get their little friend back.

The film is directed and written by Joe Cornish. It stars Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker, John Boyega and Alex Esmail. Other cast include Terry Notary, Luke Treadaway, Joey Ansah, Lee Nicholas Harris, Flaminia Cinque, Chris Wilson, Adam Leese, Paige Meade, Leeon Jones, Jumayn Hunter, and Franz Drameh

Hear are a few quotes from the review:

"Attack The Block is your classic tale of anti-heroes and is in an example of how to do sci-fi horror right."

"Attack the Block has wit, action, gore and intensity offering up complex characters you can connect with and are actually interested in. Much like Riddick from Pitch Black Joe Cornish with Attack the Block has put together a complex character in gang leader Moses that is difficult to relate to at first and in the end somebody you will find yourself rooting for as the entire block goes to hell in a hand bag and its left to a few youngsters with help from Nick Frost from Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead to save the block and the world."

"Attack the Block has an outstanding cast of young kids a truly original story, fantastic special FX and is easily one of the best new sci-fi horror movies I have seen since Toby Wilkins Splinter."

"Attack the Block is a tightly written film that intelligent horror fans who like their gore with a side order of wit and humor will truly appreciate. Its Shaun of the Dead meets Critters and it is a movie I hope you all get out to see! 9 out of 10 stars."

Yeah, Definitely not the first review. I drove up to Seattle to see it last Friday. I was very impressed. By far one of the best films I've seen in a while.
