Believe It Or Not.... A "Ripley's" Movie is Still Alive.

The long awaited film might not be as dead as everyone thinks.

For years now, this film has been in development, and came very close to being filmed with Tim Burton as director.
Deadline.com is now reporting that Eric Roth has signed on to rewrite the script. Roth is possibly most known for his involvement with films like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Forrest Gump, and Ali.

The film would partially serve as a biopic and giving us a look at Ripley's travels throughout the world that provided the content for his cartoon comic strip.

As far as anyone knows, Jim Carrey is still attached to play the lead role, and no director has been named at this point.

I think this would make an amazing movie, since the first time I went to my first Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum when I was 10. The shrunken heads still haunt my dreams.
