"intimidating" probably wouldn't be the first word that comes to mind when you think about Daisy Ridley, but that's exactly how the actress was told she comes across while filming Doug Liman's long-delayed sci-fi film, Chaos Walking.

During a new interview with Tatler magazine, Ridley opened up about a crew member calling her intimidating on set while she was preparing to shoot a scene, as well as a director labelling her as "quite aggressive" during a meeting.

“I’ve been told that I’m intimidating,” said the British actress. “That was on Chaos Walking. I was having my hair done, having my wig put on. I remember thinking, ‘God, should I be smaller? Should I be quieter?’ I’ve been called aggressive, too. My energy is ‘quite aggressive.’ That was during a meeting with a director.”

“I was thinking: ‘But why? Is it because I maintained eye contact? Is it because I’m passionate about what we’re talking about?’ I dunno,” Ridley continued. “You have that horrible sinking feeling of, ‘God, do I not come across the way I think I do?’”

Ridley also addressed her hesitance to delve into her personal life to any great extent during interviews.

“When I signed on to ‘Star Wars,’ there was nothing in my contract that said: ‘Your life will be talked about.' It got to the point where I realized so much of my life was out there. People knew my mum’s name, my dad’s name, what my sisters do for a living. And I thought it would be nice to have something that’s for me, that isn’t for everybody else. I just thought I would keep that separate.”

What do you make of Ridley's comments? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.

Chaos Walking also stars Tom Holland, Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, and David Oyelowo, and is set to hit theaters on March 5. You can check out the trailer below.

As much as I always feel for celebrities and their privacy being breached, she signed up to be the [frick]ing lead of Star Wars. Arguably the biggest, most talked about movie franchise for the past 40+ years?

What did she expect? To remain some gritty Indie film actor? Perhaps I’m being too harsh...

She's still my favourite thing about the sequel trilogy (as far as I've seen it). I hope she'll have a lot of success beyond that.

Why’s she wearing a wig? It’s just blonde hair with bangs.

How the hell did Lucasfilm or her agent, not prep her for the absolute media hounding that she would get the minute she signed on to Star Wars?!
