Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced that Denis Villeneuve's critically-acclaimed Dune will arrive on Digital HD on December 3, followed by its 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD launch on January 11, 2022.

The home video release will contain a ton of amazing bonus features, including fourteen exclusive behind-the-scenes making of featurettes that will reveal plenty of never-before-seen content as fans get behind the production and prepare for what's to come next!

While it undoubtedly left quite a bit of money on the table due to its controversial simultaneous streaming release, Dune has still grossed over $368.1 million worldwide to date on its $165 million production budget. This proved to be enough for Warner Bros. and Legendary to greenlight a sequel, Dune: Part Two, which is set to open in theaters on October 20, 2023.

The film boasts an incredibly impressive cast, which includes Academy Award-nominee Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible - Fallout), Oscar Isaac (X-Men: Apocalypse), Academy Award-nominee Josh Brolin (Avengers: Endgame), Stellan Skarsgård (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences), Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home), David Dastmalchian (nt-Man and the Wasp), Chang Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), with Academy Award-nominee Charlotte Rampling (Assassin’s Creed), with Jason Momoa (Aquaman), and Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men).

In addition to directing, Villeneuve also co-wrote the script with Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange; The Mummy) and Eric Roth (Forrest Gump; The Curious Case of Benjamin Button).

Dune is no longer available on HBO Max, but it's still playing in theaters and will return to IMAX for a limited time, starting December 3.

I’ll wait a couple years until I can buy both movies together. As much as I enjoyed Dune’s production design, acting, and music, it’s still a movie without an ending.

That 4K steelbook will be mine. Though I know I'll just end up buying it again when they inevitably release both films together or extended versions or whatever.

Super impressed with Dune. From the designs, the sets, the costumes, and especially the score everything was top notch.

No deleted scenes, that sucks. Considering there are like 15-20 deleted scenes based on what a DuneInfo has put on his site.
