"You are not prepared for what is to come."

Before the Hollywood strikes resulted in Warner Bros. pushing the movie back to next March, Dune: Part Two was originally going to be released today. The news of the delay was very disappointing for fans, but the studio hasn't let the day go by unmarked!

A third full trailer for the second part of Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi saga is now online, and it features plenty of breathtaking new footage, as Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) takes up arms against the Harkonnen oppressors and begins to embrace his destiny as the fabled Fremen messiah known as Muad'Dib.

Unfortunately, it won't just be the Baron's (Stellan Skarsgård) forces that Paul and his people face, as the Emperor (Christopher Walken) dispatches a sadistic - and highly formidable - assassin named Feyd Rautha (Austin Butler) to deal with the problem.

Feyd Rautha Harkonnen is the Baron's nephew in Frank Herbert's novel, but it looks like this adaptation may be making a significant change to the character's origin.

Check out the new trailer in the player below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on Dune: Part Two, the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning Dune.

The big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (Wonka, Call Me by Your Name), Zendaya (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Malcolm & Marie, Euphoria), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning), Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (Avengers: Endgame, Milk), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (Elvis, Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood), Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (Black Widow, Little Women), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Love and Thunder), Oscar winner Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter,), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences), Léa Seydoux (James Bond, Crimes of the Future), with Stellan Skarsgård (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (45 Years, Assassin’s Creed), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, Being the Ricardos).

Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

I know it's a very different type of story, but I'd love to see what Villeneuve could do with a superhero movie... Provided he was left to do it his way.

@MarkCassidy - I would love to see how he would adapt Alan Moore's (in)famous '80s version of Miarcle Man.

EXELLENT!!! The first movie was literally a work of art for me where every scence was like a moving painting that only enhanced the story more than I could imagine.

I saw the Davifd fincher's version in 1984 at the theater as a teen and while I have some nostalgic feelings for that movie, this treament, so far, have been far superior.

@Nomis929 - I never liked the Lynch movie, but this version is amazing. I’d even place the scifi series from the 00’s above the Lynch movie.

@mountainman - In hindsight it has lost it's luster for me, but as a teenager I was thrilled by it. i mea n it was weird but in a way a jump for the sci fi Genre.

Plus it had STING in it so that was cool.

Weird if they make Feyd Rautha not be a Harkonnen. He looks like one and it wouldn’t make sense to change that.

@mountainman - maybe the didn't, but this trailer seemed to suggest that he was an assassin sent by the emperor and not the Baron.

@MarkCassidy - I’m ok with the Emperor sending him. The Emperor and Princess were minimally in the book, and they (especially Irulan) play important roles later on.

And really story wise, Feyd Rautha being Harkonnen isn’t that important story wise, but why make him pale and bald like the rest of them?
