Blood And Chrome will focus on a young William Adama during the first Cylon War. Here is a short synopsis..

"Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20's and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet ... the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet."


Executive producer David Eick calls Blood And Chrome "authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of Battlestar Galactica's early seasons.". Not too much else is known yet though. No word on whether any other characters from the other shows will feature, but I imagine they will have to have Colonel Tighe in there somewhere!

That robot lady in the second pic would be a good design for Rescue (Pepper Potts) in the movie.

This looks awesome! great find @ROR!

They better get to explaining the cylon evolution right away otherwise it'll end up like Caprica in some weird tangent that ruins the show. Caprica was sooo cool until they went into that New Caprica game world and wasted half a season. They focused waaayyy to much time on v-world and not enough on Graystone's and the machine's journey. Though, since I haven't seen those five unaired episodes, I could be eating my own words when I finally do see them.

Looks cool but I really do wish they'd at least aired the last 5 eps. of Caprica before embarking on another BSG prequil (even if it was sometime in the middle of the night like when SyFy usually airs all those watered down, edited for television, direct-to-dvd, bad in the first place & even worse on TV films - after-all, that is why I have a DVR in the first place).

Also, guys...i haven't watched the series finale of BSG yet...I just can't let go. I've from friends that the finale episode was pretty horrible but everything I've watched leading up to the finale episode has been mind-blowing! BSG has cemented itself to being possible one of the greatest shows of all-time. And to hear that this show is going to be about the first war! I'm clearly not ready!

Blood and Chrome? Blood and Chrome? Anyone else thinking that they're just trying to ride the wave of epicness that was 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand'?

Also, I know I'm applying Modern Day Earth standards to something that is supose to be millions of years ago involving human aliens, but isn't Ensign the lowest rank for enlisted personal for a navy/airforce. Enlisted personal as in not Officers. As in those guys that fix Vipers, not fly them. As in those guys that do a couple of months of basic training, not attend an "Acadmey". As in those guys that follow orders, not lead "Important Secret Missions".

Ensign is acutually the lowest rank of the officer corps for the navy. Even in the Trek ensign was a commissioned officer. So isn't Ensign the lowest rank for officers for a navy. Officers as in not enlisted. As in those guys that fly Vipers, not fix them. As in those guys that attend an "Academy" and not do a couple of months of basic training. As in those guys that lead "Important Secret Missions" and not follow orders. Do ya see what i did there. Sorry bro, no malice intended just thought i would change it up a bit.

Well to some degree they are, otherwise why name it 'Blood and Chrome'? Yes I get that Humans have blood and Cylones have Chrome, but it sounds a hell of a lot like 'Blood and Sand'. They could have called it 'Battlestar Galactica: The Cylon Wars' or even just 'Cylon Wars'.

i noticed in the caption that we should expect to see Colonel Tighe in blood and chrome. i think its necessary to point out that it is impossible. as a cylon him self from earth, tighe will not appear in the 12 colonies till after the original cylon war which this series is supposed to depict. the same goes for any of the other final 5.

Battlestar Galactica was a great show, until the last half of the last season. Then it TANKED big time. I tried Caprica, I really did try to like it, but it slowly faded in it's goodness. (loved the pilot, and all the actors) I have little no no real hopes for this new series, but I will get my hopes up again when it launches.
