Hurt, last seen mentoring Henry Cavill in Immortals, will join Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton and Jaimie Bell in Korean director Bong Joon-ho's Snow Piercer. Joon-ho co wrote the script, loosely based on a French graphic novel called Le Transperceneige, with another great Korean director Park Chan-Wook (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance). Hurt's role in the movie is unknown for now, but here is the relevant excerpt from The Telegraph's article..
As well as starring in a new Henry V, Hurt will from March to June in 2012 be working on a film called Snow Piercer by the Korean director Bong joon-Ho, who made Mother and Memories Of Murder. Hurt added: "All the film crew refer to him, with great reverence, as 'Director Bong'. I love the fact that I am working for Director Bong."
Set in a world covered in snow and ice,
Snow Piercer follows a train full of travelers who struggle to co-exist. Chan-wook is producing through Moho Films. Production is expected to start in March, though no distribution is yet in place.
