GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Adds SILICON VALLEY Star Thomas Middleditch

It looks like Richard Hendricks is trading in Pied Piper for a crack at the King, as it's now being reported that Thomas Middleditch has joined the cast of Legendary's upcoming Godzilla sequel!

After securing a director for 2020's Godzilla vs. Kong yesterday, Legendary continues to make moves and today, Variety is reporting that Thomas Middleditch has joined the cast of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is the hotly awaited next installment in the studio's MonsterVerse. Details on his role weren't provided.

Middleditch joins a star cast that already features Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), O'Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Sally Hawkins (Godzilla), Aisha Hinds (Underground), Anthony Ramos (A Star Is Born), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Randy Havens (Stranger Things).

Michael Dougherty (Krampus) is helming with a script he co-wrote alongside writing partner Zach Shields (Krampus).

Middleditch currently headlines the hit HBO comedy series Silicon Valley and his most prominent film credits include The Other GuysThe CampaignThe Kings of SummerThe Wolf of Wall StreetSearch PartyThe Final GirlsJoshy. He most recently completed Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, which bows in theaters this weekend. He also had a small voice cameo in Jordan Vogt-RobertsKong: Skull Island.
