While DC Films were understandably the focal point of Warner Bros.' SDCC presentation last week, I think many would agree that it was Godzilla: King of the Monsters that managed to steal the show from his human-sized superhero friends.

The official trailer was met with a thunderous response from those in Hall H as well as from fans all over the world as the King of the Monsters resurfaced to take on Mothra, Rodan, and the three-heads of King Ghidorah.

Following the trailer, WB shared four ultra hi-resolution stills from the movie, offering fresh looks at Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Charles Dance, Millie Bobby Brown, and the titular beast.

Godzilla rises from the depths and unleashes his atomic breath to claim his crown as King of the Monsters in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' action adventure "GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS," a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Charles Dance just wears his Tywin Lannister getup in every film he's in. Haha.

Hopefully the human characters are more interesting this time around. Killing off bryan cranstons character in the last one was huge mistake.

@JohnGrayson - Not only did they kill him off, but they killed him off so soon. Then we were just left with his boring son.

Even if the story turns out to be bad, It will definitely be one of the most beautiful movies ever made. Probably the best movie trailer I've seen in a while.

I love this shot of Goji and how creepy it looks that his eyes are glowing beneath the dark depths of the ocean, while everyone's so freaking terrified and awed except for Mark Russell who's all confrotational.

As much as i'm excited for the Monsters side of the story, i'm also really interested on the human side of the story as well. It seems very conflictive, something happened to the Russel's on the Godzilla 2014 events and that's gonna play out in KOTM

@JosephCronos92 -

Mark Russell looks pretty awestruck IMO.

@WarnerBrother - yeah it gives that feeling, but i can see how everyone is with their mouths and/or eyes wide open while heavybreathing. Meanwhile Mark's all upfront, staring at the godlike creature, very and oddly calm unlike everyone else.

I watch the trailer for this at least once a day. Grew up on Godzilla and never knew he was capable of such an awesome comeback. If that movie is half as great as that trailer we're not nearly ready

Wow. In one of those pics, Millie Bobby Brown likeness to a young Carrie Fisher is quite spooky.

@DBLACK -

Just thinking that if the Obi Wan movie happens she should get a cameo
as young Leia hanging out with her father Bail Organa.

The way she spoke about Obi Wan during ANH seemed to suggest she
had met him at least once, before she was sent to find him.

Even though he isn't the main draw of the movie I like that Kyle Chandler is in the movie. Loved his work on Bloodline, sucks it was reduced to a rushed and final 3rd Season.

Let's hope he doesn't die by Ghidora.
