GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Star Vera Farmiga Shares New Details On Her Role; Can She Control Monsters?
Actress Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) has shared some new details on her character in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and teases the possibility of seeing her control some of the movie's giant monsters...
There's still a little under a year left until Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters, so it’s no surprise that a lot of details on the film have been kept under wraps. We know the latest entry in the MonsterVerse will feature King Ghidorah, Mothra and Rodan along with the King himself, but we've heard little about the human characters appearing in the film.
Fortunately, in a recent interview with Metro, actress Vera Farmiga shed some light on her role in the giant monster flick, and her character’s potential to control some of the beasts:
“I play a paleobiologist. She has figured out a way to communicate with the creatures and potentially control them using their bioacoustics on a sonar level. So she is like a DJ for the monsters.”
We’ll likely have to wait until the movie’s release to learn if Farmiga’s character actually manages to control any of the colossal creatures, but if she does, then that talent may prove incredibly useful when the monsters finally clash.
Either way, it sounds like The Conjuring actress might have a sizable role in the picture, as she not only has a way with monsters but will play the mother of Millie Bobby Brown’s (Stranger Things) character.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters stomps its way into theaters on May 31, 2019.
