Latest Photos From The Set Of THE DARK TOWER Confirm A Major Fan Theory And SPOILER

An image Tweeted out by Stephen King a few months back pointed to The Dark Tower movie being a sequel rather than an adaptation of the books, and now some new set photos have confirmed that Idris Elba's Roland Deschain does indeed have the Horn of Eld. You can see that concealed within his gunna bag by clicking here, and fans of the books will know just how significant its presence is.

The final volume of The Dark Tower series revealed that Roland has reached the Tower almost countless times (which he has no memories of), but is forced to relive that journey until he gets it right. On the last loop, his love for his ka-tet redeemed him in the eyes of the Tower and he was rewarded with the Horn of Eld, an artefact from Gilead it's thought will allow him to finally end his quest.

What that essentially means is that this movie is a sequel to the books, and that we'll see Roland's final loop as he travels to the Tower. That explains why this timeline is so different; for example, there's no sign of Eddie or Susannah, and Roland, Jake, and The Man in Black all being in present day New York is a big departure. Needless to say, this movie just became a whole lot more interesting.
 Thoughts?

Directed by Nikolaj Arcel, The Dark Tower is currently set to be released on February 17th, next year.

So the Tower also made him black? That's an... interesting thing to change about him.

I wonder if it did anything else to his body? I'd give him a micro-penis for shits and giggles. OH! And a really gross looking birthmark!
