In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Looper stars Bruce Willis as Joseph Simmons [Age 55], Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Joseph Simmons [Age 25], Emily Blunt as Sara, Paul Dano as Seth Noah Segan as Kid Blue, Jeff Daniels as Jack Mitchell, Piper Perabo as Suzie and Garret Dillahunt as Jesse. The film hits cinemas September 28th, 2012

"This generations Matrix"

I actually kind of agree with this. Looper may be revolutionary indeed.

Looper, Dredd, and Hobbit are practically all thats left to look forward to this year

Is JGL wearing prosthetics on his face? Why does that not look like him?

@longbowhunter, JGL is wearing prosthetics and make-up. They were trying to make him look as much like Bruce Willis as possible. I watched a behind the scenes vid on it and they described all of that.

Go check out this site and watch the interactive stuff here

JGL looks weird. I'm sorry. It's like White Chicks. The quality of the movie almost doesn't matter if I can't get past the face.

I think this generation's Matrix is Inception.
And I actually think it is much better than Matrix.

JGL looks great as a young Bruce Willis!

Yes, JGL would have made a good Bucky, but he made a great Nolan Robin/John Blake! Who goes by the name Dick in 2019.., or now for that matter anyway? Heck it was a taboo name on the playground in the seventies, eighties, let alone nineties. Every Rick I knew had shortened their name from Richard.

Sebastian Stan(hilarious in HotTubTimeMachine) has grown on me and the Cap/Winter Soldier storyline better not get condensed!

Looper also has a pretty nifty cast and plausible future, so I'm quite interested in checking this out!
